Appstore was Apple's plan from the beginning, thats why they released the SDK way before 2.0. It wouldn't be a smartphone if you can't develop apps for it. Geez youre so dumb.

You obviously do not know a lot about business. Any company will not release all its aces at once, or else there would be so little room for improvement, excitement and surprise.

hmm just can't understand why people don't embrace this phone. It has the easiest third party application download, the best music player, the simplest most efficient OS and the best web browsing, email and data phone on the market. I think where people get confused is what the see as a feature. Hate to break it guys, camera phones and MP are pointless... They will never ever be a scratch on the product they are emulating (a camera). Be realistic and realise a porable data, music, calling device is ideal to make everyday living easy and centred around the phone. A camera may one day ome along that has a small enough module to just slot in a phone, but until proper cameras disappear, this will not have happened.

All the other manufacturers, media pundits and others misread just how successful this approach would be.
Next up hardware add-ons with OS 3.0.

Always reliying on apps, how shame".
We know what features were missing when we bought our iphones. We also know that what the iphone offers outweighs its missing features. We also know that those missing features are also on the iphone's "to be added" features. So we know that it would only be a matter of time until Apple releases MMS, SMS forwarding, copy & paste, etc... And we are indeed getting all of those missing features this summer. So what is your problem? LOL. You don't even have an iphone, so shut it =)

The iphone is really the best. Iphone haters look more desperate and silly with their posts more than ever, lol. Give it up guys. Iphone will not sell this much if it's a no good product. The iphone found its niche in the smartphone market. While Nokia, Samsung and SE are racing neck to neck in the camera & megapixel arena, the iphone focused more on UI, OS, Web browsing, 3rd party Apps, and music player. The iphone went a different direction, and just so happens that millions of consumers embraced where the iphone is heading to, rather than follow where Nokia, SE and Samsung are going (down the drain, lol). This is apparent by the tons of phones produced by Samsung, Nokia SE and HTC that emulates the iphone. They're now even coming up with their own music and app store, lol. If they can even recognize the iphone's success, I don't see any reason why you haters can't, unless of course you guys are just obsessed iphone haters =)

[deleted post]you're wrong, company hires where there is a high market. since apple has no new products and the recession is effecting people's earnings, it has no other choice but to layoff some work force. apple have seen decline of their computer products, they still stood because of the iphone and the ipod touch otherwise they'd be in much worse situation
