Locally I see a lot of people dumping the tiny useless display iPhones for larger more beautiful SAMOLED Samsungs. iPhone 6 isn't going to change that trend since iOS is dumber lacking advanced features such as split screen multitasking and a lot of DRAM.
Samsung is doing well considering US is the home market of Apple. I think the VFM factorbis better in Android phones.
Anonymous, 04 Jul 2014Iphone is best compared to all other devices in market..well yeah,.. i mean the iphone 5s is better style and build quality compared to other devices....but still too overpriced and is not the best in specs.
Anonymous, 04 Jul 2014Iphone is best compared to all other devices in market..How can you say that? I dont own a microscope to view stuff on that ultra small screen of iphone so sorry. cant really pay that much for so less. and the 5 is such a ugly shaped phone. The only thing i like is the smoothness of the UI.

iPhone is most desired phone, not just in the USA but all over the world.
Jarret, 04 Jul 2014Love Samsung forever....in every Apple news article, there will be sam sheep posting their love for samsung
Apple is always better than Samsung
Apple gives new innovation and inspiration to developers and others.
In Asia, iPhone is considered as extremely overpriced yet under performed device with a small display.
No.1 top performing device is still HTC's One(M8) and Max!
dude irrespective of ios or android devices, Most of the devices being sold in the US are on contract but between them they prefer iPhone.

Here in Europe Apple market share is much lesser, mostly because we a... moreApple products are relatively more expensive overseas that's why they don't sell that much outside the US. It's all about pricing. More people will prefer an iPhone over any other smartphone if it were the same price.
This is just US. Globally Samsung's numbers are double of apples numbers. Apple cannot compete with global prices. In the US most people are buying phones that are subsidized at a price of $200. iPhone sold in other countries don't have the opportunity to pay the same low price. Prices for iPhone outside the US cost about $1000. Its sad that scammers in the US pay homeless people little money to buy iPhones on contract and sell them internationally.

Does Europe even have any major phone OEMs or OS developers to support in the first place?
[deleted post]You speak english good yes?? For someone telling somebody else to get smarter i think you need to go back to school yourself and get a better grasp of the english language. And as for your point of the US market mirrors the rest of the world i think you need to think again, in most other markets Samsung is outselling Apple. Yes they have a wider range of handsets but surely that gives greater customer satisfaction with the ability to match their phone to their demands rather than just having a generic one. Oh and im not a Samsung fanboy as i have a HTC One and don't really like the new Galaxy S devices.
What about Europe, Asia? Here in Europe Apple market share is much lesser, mostly because we are not brain washed.
