Apple is number one because of its innovation and launched latest technoly for iphone users..
The results are as expected. LG deserves better though for making brilliant devices. Apple has to do something about compatibility with other platforms. If you buy an Apple product your stuck in their own ecosystem.
Anonymous, 04 Jul 2014Samsung is king !!!!Yes. Copy King.
Sales King is still Apple.
AnonD-279460, 04 Jul 2014I Bet That 90% Of iphone Users buy On Contact If they have sold Only unlocked phones than it... moreMany unlocked devices that account for these numbers from android are entry level and midrange phones that dont cost a fortune. To think apple still dominates the game even with sammy's forever-increasing-number-of-the-same-phones tactics.
Did you read the article? Or better yet, had you understood the article?

If they have sold Only unlocked phones than it... moreThats why Androids are dirt cheap. If they near iPhone price.. they have poor sales!
Totally not worth the money androids!
I Bet That 90% Of iphone Users buy On Contact
If they have sold Only unlocked phones than it would have been far behind From Android !!!!
If Apple make iPad with call / sms feature.... iPad mini will have the above results..
Why apple Whhyyyyyy not.
Its like stabbing yourself in the foot.
fmeric, 04 Jul 2014Soon it will be not number 1. I think only in usa. Are those number need to trust.didn't you read the article it clearly states the research was conducted in the U.S.
Nowdays when i see iphones news i even dont wants to read it. Bye Bye iphone.
The more interesting thing here is that only 70% of USA have smartphones??? That places them miles behind northwestern Europe, especially the Nordic countries, in smartphone penetration, and equally far behind Korea and Japan.
Soon it will be not number 1. I think only in usa. Are those number need to trust.
Its dirt cheap to own Androids. China build tons of those dirt cheap phones. Its no surprise a person can own 4 or 5 android phones/set top box.
So not really impressed in terms of OS adoption.
When people demand quality without the hassle, they have no other choice, other then pick iPhones/iPads.
I have a Galaxy, but operating an Android is still like a science project. I can hand my mom an iPad & she can figure it out. With Android there will always be a glitch or you'll accidentally drag an icon, or a widget doesn't refresh, or when you upgrade an app it disappears from your screen. I know what to do when this happens, but most don't and, more importantly, THEY DON'T WANNA HAVE TO KNOW. Apple's cloud is superior. iTunes is better synced than G music. Android does more, but it's just a convoluted mess with upgrades every hour.
