[deleted post]hmmm.... you cant take it that your expensive iphone will be dethrone by this one good device in china... the world is round
I'm poor and i like cheap phones. I like buying phones whose prices are close to the cost of the hardware. I don't like buying $600-700 phones whose manufacturing cost is close to only $300. I don't like the fact that I will be paying the advertising expenses of those expensive and overpriced phones if I were to buy one. Does it make me a smart buyer? Possibly yes!
AnonD-59657, 05 Jul 2014This is the Apple killer.Poor man's iPhone.
9.5 million were put on Taobao.com selling at 20% mark upand 90% of the people complain they will not get another xiaomi again.
Xiaomi and other vendors who supply the phone for China /Asia help keep a lid on prices paid in the West
Although the specs are NOT optimal as say S5; Z2, they are really high and above that of my Flagship phone purchase in 2011, and way way cheaper still.
Unless the competitors is offering a whole new concept,(IMO) there would have been a tendency for for prices to increase with each new Flagship phones has to compete on price entering the China phone market.
Every time Xiaomi announces a new phone the ineveitable comment is when is it comming here, as despite JUSTbeing released in China,if released in the West there would be similar demand if the prices were maintained,
Check out the Xiaomi specs 16Gb 13Mp & 2Mp camera, 5" display, 2Gb Ram quad core phone costs
"CNY 1,499 for the 16GB version. That currently equates to $241 or €177,"
or put another way apart from the Xiaomi Mi-3 not being 4G LTE enabled, the specs are that of the LG G2!
"In terms of pricing, the 4.7-inch iPhone will start at exactly as much as the iPhone 5S currently does. That's CNY 5,288 ($851) in China, but prices vary across markets."
or put another way for Every SEVEN Xiaomi MI-3 you can only purchase TWO iPhone6.
