AnonD-58835, 17 Jul 2014Nokia and Microsoft are both a DEAD company. windowsphone is the most horrible OS in the world... moreHa ha, joker comes. MS is never dead. They are still one of the biggest company. And nokia is also not dead. Nokia's mbl division is under MS. and other part of nokia has a huge amnt of money. They will come after 2016 with new hardware. But I hear ur samsung loses money. Very sad.
AnonD-171976, 17 Jul 2014and i really hope PC user moves to chromebook too, microsoft have been so greedy with OS priceWindows is now free OS under 9inch
AnonD-281307, 17 Jul 2014MS wants to be Apple and lap up the success now trying itin phones....dream on! It is an Ap... moreI agree, now android and apple are on top but blackbary. What r u talking? MS already above blackbary, wait even firefox will rise above blackbary.
If I'm Microsoft CEO,I might do a same decision, this is what we call business.Have to face it,because it is Microsoft, people have so big reaction.
i don't know, i think MS is just messing up Nokia & then it'll sell it to some garage based Chinese company & be like " Oops, me bad! " i mean seriously, that guy looks like a total |)|(|
That man is the devil! D: i'm starting hate microsoft
I mean...nokia was good, and then, like nothing, MS or Elop or this man, whatever.. killed Nokia, and people saying "no is not dead, is just a "deal"...pfff finish with that, no more proof.
All this "strategic alignment" aside, it's really a dick move for a new CEO to start off by cutting down 18,000 jobs, especially from a company they just acquired.
People put hard work and effort into jobs, and Nadella is basically saying,
"Thanks for wanting to work here, but I'm thinking we don't really need you anymore. Now leave."
Anonymous, 18 Jul 2014Something impossible is coming. New breakthrough Windows Phone flagship device is coming.
h... moreMicrosoft doesn't have a clue on how to keep customer's when it comes to their mobile OS devices. They have a long and infamous history of screwing their customers going back to the Windows Mobile platform.
Late last year I posted a comment where I said MS would discontinue their Asha platform and if Nokia's Android ever saw the light of day I was sure it wouldn't be in production long....and now you have it.
Asha phones are nice little devices with fantastic battery life and the OS is much more capable than WP 8.x (read up on Smarterphone if you have your doubts, since beginning with Asha 1.0 it's core is a true multi-tasking OS that has been implemented with that function limited to only a few functions on the Asha line).
The employees who will get fired should launch a lawsuit against former ceo stephen elop for intentionally sabotaging the company and destroying thousands of finish jobs.
i miss symbian....shifted to dual core 512mb ram android phone but still android cannot achieve what my 680mhz 256 mb ram symbian did : true multitasking. apps in android freeze it they remain in background for too long.
btw WP is true waste.
