Innovative implementation? hhahaha. Oh please explain how adding NFC, that has been around for four years, is innovative.
Suddenly, ifans are praising NFC now ;.
Apple Insider, 27 Jul 2014Just like Apple implemented a 64-bit processor with only 1GB RAM? 1GB RAM!!! hahahahaAnd you're on of those people who think the only reason for the cpu to be 64 bit is having more than 4 go of ram lol
Chupacabra, 27 Jul 2014Didn't realize iPhone 5s and iPad Air are so backward that they have no 802.11ac.Cuz the galaxy s4 has it right? And the older samsung tablets.
And cuz ac standard routers are everywhere

802.11ac? Welcome to 2013.
NFC? Welcome to 2010, Apple.
All Sony products have NFC for years now.. Headsets,Smartwatchs,Tablets, most phones,Bluetooth headphones,cameras...you name it they have it,nothing new.
Have them all and use it often.
Anonymous, 27 Jul 2014Biggest misconception by Android fanboys is that Apple fans celebrate only innovation. Inn... moreSame goes for 64-bit? The iSheep love celebrating their 64-bit processor when it actually does nothing more than 32-bit.
Its rather astonishing that apple is so far behind in terms of connectivity and options.
John, 27 Jul 2014Nice NFC chip Could you point on the motherboard the good looking NFC chip?
Apple clearly stated in the past that NFC technology has no real use at that time and has no intention to rush with it like the android OEMs did.
Dg, 27 Jul 2014I bet isheep fans will praise this as a new innovations for 2014. Biggest misconception by Android fanboys is that Apple fans celebrate only innovation.
Innovation for innovation's sake sometimes results in redundancy.
We celebrate innovative IMPLEMENTATION.
Watch as this tech which has been dormant these past 4 years, suddenly come alive, when Apple implements it.
Selppa, 27 Jul 2014Wow breaking news, simply amazing, this is the first time NFC have been seen in a mobile phone... moreIt may have a chip but given Apple this will be for file sharing only
I think it unlikely to be used for contactless payments as that would clash with the Apple wallet
So imo file sharing between an Apple device and a non Apple EXCLUDING MEDIA, so no music, JPEG, video
Like Bluetooth its functions will be limited.
watch there going to bring it out and be like where the first ones to bring nfc to us and canada and right away all the apple retorts going to run to the doors whiting for 2 or 3 months for them to bring it out and try to sue samsung over it when samsung had it since s2 lol
Nice NFC chip
Anonymous, 27 Jul 2014Wow..only 4 years after the first NFC-enabled Android phone came out :-P
Truly a company on t... moreApple has great timing to implement features and people actually start using them. So far NFC has been one of the biggest fail in mobile world, so why would apple add something like that 4 years ago?
I dont believe this NFC rumour before i actually see the iPhone, but if its true i hope Apple can make this something lot more useful than it currently is. My brother have NFC (lumia 920) and he has never used it.
