I will think about of htc if it uses super amoled screen technology. We want new innovations and simple price instead of this drama of sympathy. I mean htc is not bad but htc and apple are unreasonably expensive . Xiaomi is the best. Actually I was shocked when I knew the actual manufacturing cost of iphone 5s is just $199 but they sell it on $999 and what chinnovation iphone has ? And for what othee money ? To make apple judt jack pot .
Well if you wana Respect , Respect the brand who made the first #ANDROID and #WINDOWS phone. #lovehtc
Nothing more than HTC seeing an opportunity to try and look better than Samsung.
I bet even Samsung officials are pretty upset now over whichever care center kept ignoring the guy.
Wait are u trying to say that Android was introduced by Samsung? Think again brother.. HTC dream was the first ever Android phone..cheers HTC!
BREAKING NEWS.. new generation lithium ion cells reckoned to double battery life usage times .. soon !
check the web .. problems of overheating burn outs of batteries under stress shall be reduced -if not entirely eliminated .. wait for iphone 6 -due out in usa by nov 2014..
This is nothing to do about Android, it would be used on the HTC as well as the Samsung. The point here is a independent company comes out to assist the cust. whatever said after this, would not compute....
Seriously? They only did it one up Samsung. No more or less.
I never liked Samsung and the cheap quality of parts used. Now i am sure i will never even try a Samsung EVER.
i have been an HTC fan for the longest time ! ! But Can HTC come to my rescue ? I have the HTC one Dual sim 802w and i cant seem to get updates to android KIT KAT 4.4 as somehow they forgot to have the update tab in setting>about>software update ! ! !
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2014I can see alot of peps here hating samsung although they look like android fans. praise what s... moreYour Samsung claim is bogus... HTC is the really the face behind android, first android device HTC G1, first 1080P screen, first 4G, first dual front facing speakers, etc. HTC Is very innovative and are very much the choice of most in the developer community. As far as the Product manager who helped out this customer, that is just awesome. HTC is always listening and looking out for the customer. @TweektheGeek glad someone was able to help.
AnonD-268445, 28 Jul 2014What is it? Another hoax story? :)hoax? r u paranoid ..
I've been an owner of Samsung phones for years, across multiple platforms (samsungs own OS, windows, and now android) and i've never had an issue with their hardware. In fact, the one time I did have a hardware problem (dropped phone on concrete, slight denting on edging, no cracks on screen, but LCD died a slow, very visual death over the span of a day), it was my fault. Took it to a registered repair center (remember, these guys are registered to repair samsung devices, but aren't actually owned by samsung), and got the phone back sooner than quoted, free of charge. They replaced the entire front of phone, including the bezel around the edge, not just the broken LCD part.
I have had very limited experience with their helplines, but from my experience, it was very good. So it might just be if you have good luck and get a good rep, or bad luck and get a bad rep. No company will have all A-holes working for them, but every company will have a few.
In my experience with just tech in general, you have lemons across the board. You know, singular devices that fail on a variety of levels, but on a whole should not be used to compare or judge companies products.
Which, sadly, is what happens here. Because it gets people talking. Pointing the finger at a few bad experiences gets far more press time than showing all the good things/experiences people have. I've had friends with issues coming from EVERY major phone manufacturer (that includes HTC, LG, Samsung, Nokia, Motorla) and so I know for a fact every one of these companies can have hardware issues.
What HTC did was exactly what any good PR department from any company would and should do. It drums up support for their brand, and helps, sadly, to drag other brands through the mud. Plain and simple. Its nice they threw in the whole donating and charity bit, very well played, but again, its all about getting brand bump at the cost of your competitors.
/rant. wow. that was a long one...
I can see alot of peps here hating samsung although they look like android fans. praise what small company like htc did for this matter. Good marketing for them.
BUT give some respect to the brand that brought up android. Im sure many will agree on this and samsung they have more chance bring in new cool technology in near future than htc. I dont buy samsung devices myself or let my family do but i give them a respect and please dont hate or envy the company because they are from korea you chinese/taiwanese n japaneSe peps.
