Nice that HTC did this. In the last couple years, I've noticed that Samsung isn't as "hungry" as they use to be now that they are up there in status, so to speak, with Apple.
Call me old school, but I NEVER leave something on the charger overnight. You NEVER know! Battery life is important, which is one of the reasons my replacement, for my Galaxy Note1 (GT-N7000, not the at&t bloated version), was a Huawei Ascend Mate2. Not a big deal to me it doesn't have "flagship" specs. It's clear, fast, does what I need and doesn't have a "flagship" price. It's the battery that sold me! 2-3 DAYS on one charge, with moderate to heavy use!
Andy, 28 Jul 2014KUDOS TO HTC! Man I am very torn to them, if the only the pixels of the camera of the HTC M8 w... morePixels actually don't mean a better picture quality. It's the definition and a few other factors that determine how good it looks. And if you read camera reviews on both the M7 and the M8, or even just go play around with a demo, you'll find that the One probably has the best camera out right now, along with the new G3. Try one out, I'm sure you'll love it. And I have a Galaxy S4, so no bias here mate ;)
AnonD-223898, 28 Jul 2014Dude IPS have rubbish contrast compares to AMOLED! LG G3 has Reds which look Pinkish and Pinks... moreyea, but the LG isnt the only one IPS lcd screen on the market, iphone? HTC? they both have an excellent screen calibration. it is not the screen itself that at fault
Heck I wish a company did that to me cause i'm being ignored by Alcatel with my phone issues. I messaged them on Facebook, Twitter and their website and the only person to get a hold of to actually response is my cellular provider.
It doesn't them 8 months to reply to one comment. But yet it took 3 seconds for my cellular company help twitter account to reply back.
straight up Alcatel is garbage once I get my new one I'm going to chuck this POS Alcatel phone in a river.
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2014Oh really trollyes... troll... really... blind much?
My first cameraphone was a Samsung (I forgot the unit). I bought it the day it went out in our local market without checking reviews about it from markets that had it earlier than our place. Too bad, the unit I had was one of the defect units that was released. Of course I contacted Samsung customer service, but to no avail, they did not hear me out. I ended up feeling robbed... so I switched to Nokia N76 that time...
Phones being replaced for being defective only works in countries like the USA, japan, south korea and some european countries. In most countries they don't.
I'm a Samsung user. I am saying you, this is going to be my last one. And when you hear things like this, I don't see any reason to stay with Samsung. So next one will Sony, HTC or LG-G3.
KUDOS TO HTC! Man I am very torn to them, if the only the pixels of the camera of the HTC M8 was better, damn I would choose it straight! Well, I'll be waiting for the next HTC flagship perhaps.

Features that help you trace your phone only work if your lost phone is connected to the internet. A smart thief will readily get rid of your sim card and flash the phone s.w. disabling all tracking features. Fortunately though, they wont be able to access your data
AnonD-197278, 28 Jul 2014u know nothing about OLED baby...Then, what do you know?
BTW, every manufacturer has their own problems.
What I can bet is the Samsung customer support people in that area sucks badly (read: lack of education, lazy, etc.). No such incident happened in my area yet.
P/S: I'm not a Sammy fan, this is just my own opinion.
i was also ignored from this part of the world. mine was stolen and the security feature did not work to date. my effort to contact the Samsung through tweeter failed
I'm a Samsung user. I am telling you, this is going to be my last one. And when you hear things like this, I don't see any reason to stay with Samsung. so next one will sony, iphone or G3.
