Sid, 26 May 2009and yet again, Samsung continues to 'spam' the cellphone market with cheap imitations of Nokia... moreAre you on something? Samsung is merely doing what Nokia did before... only better! Want innovation, go check the Omnia HD. It´ll do your brain some good and maybe you´ll finally see nokia for what it is... old and outdated! Believe me... Nokia is going the motorola way!
About touch screen...hate it...hard to use when i'm driving.
mobile phones are not meant to be used while driving.
driving and texting has an equivalent of a .06 blood alcohol level.
calling is almost as bad
@nal sexer, 27 May 2009I like itreally? to me the finish looks very cheap and outdated. poor compared to the F520. I really wish they released that phone, it also ran on the award winning croix user interface which was brilliant in my opinion. This new handset seems to be a step backward for samsung

Samsung Pivot is resurrected Nokia E61 on WM :-). Too bad only in USA :-(.
About touch screen...hate it...hard to use when i'm driving.
I can't say that Samsung has never built a good Phone...but with sliders from Samsung i've had bad experience...and the Batteries on some models are very bad. And it's true that Nokia and all other make good and bad phones...but with E-Series i'm happy.
looks like fairly mid range phones..
For some reason, I keep ending up with Samsung phones! I must be on my 3rd or 4th Samsung phone now (though not consecutively).
They always seems to give me the best specs (or at least for those features I care about) for the same price range.
But one thing bad about having high specs phone is that it is addictive. You will not want to 'downgrade' to a mid range phone ever again. LOL..
Sid, 26 May 2009and yet again, Samsung continues to 'spam' the cellphone market with cheap imitations of Nokia... moreNokia copies sammy these days. What is so original and great about new nokia phones? N97? Ha! A year too late to the market with the resistive touch screen and slow processor. Wake up fanboy.
Samsung Pivot -- 2GB RAM ??? WOW!!!
and yet again, Samsung continues to 'spam' the cellphone market with cheap imitations of Nokia phones.. One wonders if Samsung really has any 'innovation' to speak off or a less morally bankrupt model of gaining market share..
the dual slide design is innovative but the handset isn't too easy on the eye. They should have stuck with the design of the F520 a year or so ago as this was a brilliant looking handset. Unfortunately, as with many innovative designs, the F520 was never put into production. In short the design department seem to have thrown this one together which shows :(
Samsung are releasing the best phones the world has ever seen. Fair enough theyre releasing loads of midrange phones but I think its a tactic to try and take some more of Nokias marketshare. After all, Nokias high end phones are outdated by the time theyre released and also overpriced. Samsung have their finger on the pulse with the high end phones but theyre also now releasing plenty of decent low and mid range phones to compete with Nokia. Nokia cant compete on the high range bracket so Samsung is currently winning that battle, now Samsung are attacking Nokia's main sales. Low and mid range. Well done Samsung. Im def not a fanboy, I just like to have the phone I think is best on the market at the time regardless of who makes it. Samsung Innov8. Interested in the Omnia HD but will wait for a full professional review. Also interested in the SE Idou but ill prob be a pensioner before its released lol
Sweet! Samsung brought back the Nokia E61! I miss that phone! I'll buy anything that resembles old Nokia phones.
Galpex, 26 May 2009Samsung...two way slider...it's no good. Even one way sliders from Samsung are not solid enoug... moreI"m sorry if you feel that way, but I suggest you start reading reviews about samsung phones and do yourself a favor by testing at least one modern samsung phone by modern I don't mean 3-4 years ago but I mean last year or this year. For Example the INNOV8 has been said to have one of the best slides of our times, tactile and solid.
Galpex, 26 May 2009Samsung...two way slider...it's no good. Even one way sliders from Samsung are not solid enoug... moreThe slide on the 8300 has a very solid feel to it as does the Innov8
Even the older phones like the D500 were solid and well constructed, you still see them being used today.,
that's what im guesing of.in trinity, im imagining that someday nokia will made it.but, samsung made it first.
Samsung must have a secret room full of phones like these.
As soon as something is leaked/announced by Nokia they are there matching them every step of the way to number one.
They are. Being very effective at using Nokia's method of flooding the market with multiple models.
sss, 26 May 2009Excuse me but I believe Samsung phones have problem in qualityI can say the same with Nokia. And their customer service centre is so bad, they just want your money.
Some models may be good, some so bad its not worth the mention but overall its the after sales service that matters for me. To each his own. Thats why I always like trying new handsets form other manufacturers. So far, the Walkman series and my BB both win hands down. Cos i never had any problems with both so i never had to deal with their after sales service.
