But still quite a way to go. Still no TomTom, CityMaps2Go, Pin Drop, Localscope, Feedly, Chrome, Firefox, Knots 3D.
Hopefully the devs start developing for Windows Phone and those apps will be available.
" applications that’ll work on both desktop and mobile operating systems "
That's may bring microsoft to the track again very soon, people that using windows 8 on desktop will found it easier to deal with WP, one platform for all, same as Apple strategy.
What is all this hulla bullu around apps.... Android users yell apps, Ios user yell apps, For WP they yell no Apps.... Half of d apps r absolute garbage.... Most of the users do not use more than around 40 apps in a week.... Better work on new software features....
iOS with 1.2 million apps, well that is ridiculous. Apps like "I am rich" and another 1.19 million apps. There are mere 100-200 apps that are of any use at any given moment. I don't really care about MS apps being 300 000 I do however care if they usable and competitive. This is where MS lags. Just look at the Facebook app developed by MS themselves and pretty far away from the truth. Same goes for Skype, Foursquare and many more. In fact the worst apps come from MS. I wonder how come your own products perform so bad on your own OS. How come you release Office for mobile for the iPad long before you make one for your Surface.
