AmateurHistorian, 13 Aug 2014Actually, Apple say you don't need Flash which took Android 3 years to finally figure out Flas... more either you dont' know, or you are pretending not to know to have people believe your argument.
adobe didn't stop supporting flash, flash is still being supported and updated regularly on billions of PCs. they stopped updating flash for android, which is most likely part of a deal between adobe and google cause html5 has more digital rights management features and stuff like that.
so , no flash isn't a security risk if its adopted and used by billions of active PCs and still updated every few weeks by adobe.
there's tons of websites that still haven't moved to html5 and refuse to do so. dropping flash was androids worse decision. they dropped it because (from wiki) '' The initial enablers for DRM in HTML5 were Google and Microsoft ''.
And if flash is such a big no no , and evil and stuff, why hasn't microsoft banned it from windows, why havent the world's leading security firms united against it and adobe ? why hasn't adobe itself removed flash from the publics reach ?
AmateurHistorian, 13 Aug 2014Actually, Apple say you don't need Flash which took Android 3 years to finally figure out Flas... moreDid you seriously think that reply made any sense at all?????
First of all your reply stands to imply what they said was wrong when it was correct.
While it's also correct that flash as well was included in that list, that was basically the only thing you got right.
Android did not stop spring flash for any other reason except that adobe was stopping to support it. And even though they stopped official support they actually kept updating for another ish. The last update came less than a year ago I believe.
But adobe also basically no idea what they are doing.

Even Adobe stopped supporting Flash.

apple : next year's prices for last year's tech.
Easily the best SoC on the planet at the moment. Waiting patiently for Nexus 8 tablet.
soo ... they used more than 4gb ram ?? like apple hater said ... 1gb ram is gimmick , should need 4 gb at least
azerhuji, 12 Aug 2014welcome to 64bit mobile os, thanks to apple.Too early. Android isn't 64-bit yet so phones with K1 still won't be as fast as iPhone 5S. Maybe by Android L Google can finish copying iOS 7.
See the new K1 only needs DUAL core to beat the useless QUAD core. Apple is way ahead of the curve. Maybe some day Samsung and Qualcomm can produce a dual core that's faster than slow quad.
azerhuji, 12 Aug 2014welcome to 64bit mobile os, thanks to apple.Apple did nothing. Nvidia would have released a 64-bit chip even if Apple didn't with their A7. Qualcomm would have eventually released a 64 bit chip as well. The only thing Apple did was highlight that 64bit chips do indeed exist.
You mean thanks to ARM.
If I build a car and I use an engine from the Mclaren P1 it doesn't mean I designed and produced the engine therefore I don't get to take the credit.
azerhuji, 12 Aug 2014welcome to 64bit mobile os, thanks to apple.Welcome to big screen, thanks to Samsung.
azerhuji, 12 Aug 2014welcome to 64bit mobile os, thanks to apple.may i remind you that the first iphone didnt record video but only still photos ? feature phones or symbians, were recording video ages before.
its all in vain if google doesnt make it mandatory for game developers to utilize the gamepad api.
who wants to play great games on a 5 inch screen which is half covered by hands ?
make the controller api mandatory google, at least for games that have over a certain revenue treshold, make the devs update theyr apps, whats the point of mhl and cromcast and similar tech ?
its obvious todays phones are capable of almost console like graphics.
