I waiting for nexus 6.. For those who r complaining d n6 for qhd display..u better see the spec first..having snapdragon 805..high GPU those can handle every single thing...
Wow, check those specs.
Guess we cannot expect a more efficient OS with Android L.

That retina display cant see above ~300ppi crap is just bs marketing to justify their small screens and low pixels.
Go in to your local phone shop with both a galaxy s5, and a lg g3 in hand. Lower the brightness of the s5 to match the Lg g3's. Upgrade the youtube on the lg g3's to current so it can play 1440p video. Youtube 1440p, first link is transformers trailer, watch the S5 1080p youtube video and G3's 1440p youtube video. Unless you are far-sighted, you WILL see a difference.
Heck man, if you cant see the pentile 2subpixel blurryness of amoled & clarity of ips lcd, both at 1080, with the phone just a foot a way, you might have flawed near vision.
1440p is the future with software optimization and 3000maH batter
Every smartphone above 400/450ppi is just a waste of battery, performance, usability and money.
I'm very disappointed with that, i will stick on my Nexus5.
Personally the res bump feels unnecessary for phones, the ppi is barely noticeable and there is no content that can actually make use of such res.
AnonD-232131, 13 Aug 2014This useless resolution bump is dissapointing. But I'd say the battery life will be the most i... moreYou are correct and smart phone companies are brilliant. They know if they make a smartphone with "good specs" and the phenomenal battery life they would lose money. If they made a smart phone with specs similar to a galaxy S5 and a five day battery life under heavy usage, I would not purchase a phone for another 5 years. They keep adding gimmicks and resolution the human eye cannot detect to throw off the low information buyer.

Holy shit fudge the lg g3 805, if this is real, this 1440... moreEven with ART and new SOC will be slower and more battery hunger due to higher resolution.
Nexus will forever be a waste.
- no mircoSD storage
- no external battery
- small battery
That's fantastic, but what's with this trend of omitting battery info on these spec lists?
If it's 2500 mAh or something like that, forget about it.
What's the use of 64bit OS if you do not have any 64 bit app which is compatible and can run faster then a 32 bit app on 64bit OS. Who ever thinks apple is ahead, but sorry they are still there. I use an iphone 5s, and used my friends iphone 5 i saw no difference in performance.
vic1, 13 Aug 2014One quastion: Does Snapdragon 801(330) performace with FullHD Screen match the performance ... moreYes it is very close. I think some phones with snapdragon 801 did around 35k in antutu and snapdragon 805 did around 38k in antutu. So yeah the overly pixel bumped display renders the power difference into a few percents. I mean come on do people really need more pixels in the current size phones than full hd? NO. You can't even see the pixels unless you put your eye on the display.
No rumors or leaks whatsoever, and now suddenly a bench score?
Google realized that they could sell another Nexus phone with the launch of 'L' and quickly threw one togehter with Lenovo...
So what's the use of this Qhd screen anyway. Could've left the screen size and resolution like the previous nexus 5, coupled with the new processor and gpu , and you have a great increase in performance. The way I see it the performance will be at best similar to the nexus 5.
I hope the bump in screen resolution will be compensated by appropriate battery capacity... else it will be a good for nothing flagship...
