BBerryMD, 15 Aug 2014Well, New hardware is always good, however the biggest BlackBerry problem for now is software.... moreThe FB app is actually one of the best things about BB10 OS, its really fast and nice to use, and since the BlackBerry browser is also better than any Android browser its really fast to use the full desktop site of FB, with Flash support.
All in all i cant recommend BlackBerry 10 though, i regret i bought, maps are poor and there are some serious privacy violations in BB10, plus as you said lack of apps.
BBerryMD, 15 Aug 2014Well, New hardware is always good, however the biggest BlackBerry problem for now is software.... moreApps like instagram and facebook? Didn't know the professionals who this phone TARGET love to post pictures and stupid facebook comments.
BBerryMD, 15 Aug 2014Well, New hardware is always good, however the biggest BlackBerry problem for now is software.... morei agree with you on everything except the facebook app part, i have BlackBerry Z10 and Samsung S4, the app is running smooth on my Z10 whereas it kind of slow on my S4 and it lags
The problem is the os. The just need to make a skinned version of android with google play services and keep the same functionality as bb os. If nokia had made the lumia smartphones run android it would have secured them and the same goes for black berry. Right now the os is theyre major weakness and im afraid theyll only realise it when its too late.
Really impressed with this: rather than try and create another large screen phone, Blackberry has gone on to create something that is unique, stylish and has a lot of people talking about them in a very good way...and by that I mean "I really want to check this out!" I;m in that group, am definitely waiting until this is released before going Note 4, iPhone 6 5.5' phablet or some other Android....
Well, New hardware is always good, however the biggest BlackBerry problem for now is software. John (CEO) is pushing a wrong way. When company will have a competitive appworld then they can create more devices. I don't see the reason for new device when there is same OS and still not enough apps. Also present apps are not competitive, for example facebook app, if to compare it with one from android or iOS, it is like yesterday's news paper.
Eske Rahn, 15 Aug 2014This is beyond phablet size, "small tablet" perhaps. It will require a special pock... more...Some quick calculus based on the screen size gives an 8.1cm screen and by the picture: 13x9 cm
Man, the Passport is looking good.
I prefer the build of the Classic - but it seems there's a lot of clever ideas going into the Passport.
This is beyond phablet size, "small tablet" perhaps.
It will require a special pocket or a bag to carry around...
I wonder how many will be interested in that???
That said, it is clever to let the keyboard double as some sort of touchpad.
