AnonD-295254, 17 Aug 2014No one wants Exynos...Qualcomm has trumped everyone in power efficiency and optimization. Ok. Your choice. BTW this exynos is 64 bit ARMV8 vs the 32 bit ARMV7 of snapdragon 805.
It's gonna crush the snapdragon 805. Even the exynos 5430 in Galaxy alpha beats snapdragon 805. I doubt anyone will want snapdragon.
AnonD-187840, 17 Aug 2014Ah, not a bad phone.
I thought RAM will go up to 4gb instead of 3gb
Never be a fan of sams... moreSee, the snapdragon 805 is a 32 bit chip. A 32 bit chip can't use 4GB RAM.
Hence samsung couldn't use it in note 4 as it will create discrepancies between versions.
harlekkin, 17 Aug 2014You can't even tell the benefit of a 500ppi screen, what's the point of 900? I get that in tra... morePeople are getting all hung up on screen resolution, processor speed etc. Yeah, you might have the fastest device, but, do you see a REAL WORLD difference in performance? Nope, and I bet your battery doesn't last as long either. I went with a midrange Huawei Mate2 and the screen is only 720p, 400 snapdragon, but it's fast, screen is just as clear as anything I would use, it handles every task I throw at it AND I can easily get 2 days battery life! I'm not spending 800 dollars on something, that works just as well as my 300 dollar Mate2...personally, you are just throwing money away, just so you can show off your expensive toy.
I hope it comes with at least 32gb and 64gb of internal storage, otherwise it will not work for me.
They should eliminate 16gb of internal storage for flagship devices.
They should start at 32 or better, 64gb.
No one understood the "its over 9000" joke
AnonD-89109, 17 Aug 2014It's 900, not 9000, the PPI. Typo in article.over 9000 was on purpose, reference to dbz.
dats heavy... wreal heavy...
AnonD-89109, 17 Aug 2014It's 900, not 9000, the PPI. Typo in article. You can't even tell the benefit of a 500ppi screen, what's the point of 900? I get that in traditional printing, 600dpi is more than sufficient for stunning photos, and some go as high as 2400dpi, but really, that's just unnecessary for a mobile device IMHO.
If higher PPI screens don't impact performance and battery life, by all means, but there are other implications on web browsing and application design that should be considered.
Your eyes can't detect the difference beyond 300ppi. It's a waste of battery power. Rendering images you can't see.
Next flop

It's weird that they have 32gb minimum for Note 3 and yet it's 16gb for Note 4? It's either they found a way to shrink their firmware by that much or this benchmark is not of Note 4.
here comes the pain for all other phablet
AnonD-295254, 17 Aug 2014No one wants Exynos...Qualcomm has trumped everyone in power efficiency and optimization. Except the 5433 could easily debunk what you say....plenty of people like Exynos and snapdragon has only had some advantage over Exynos for about only the generation of s600 and s800. Even back in St Exynos aka hummingbird had some good advantage.
It's 900, not 9000, the PPI. Typo in article.

I agree about ram too.
But your next two opinions follow as meh and full on wrong.
Yeah the design has not changed much, but everyone else does the same thing. LG has even been using samsung for design for a long time.
Only different designs are companies like Htc and LG taking a few more years than the rest to finally find ground with a specific solid device line. So making different phones from different lines they were also still experimenting designs.
On top of the Samsung's design might not be the prettiest, but it's always been among the top as far as ergonomics, logic, and practicality.
Lastly about backwards in quality is just a load of bs.
Poly carbonate is basically the most durable and practical of all main materials.
Glass and aluminum are o less cheap recyclable material and are overall more fragile and less practical.
And what YOU prefer in looks has nothing to do in any way shape or form with the actually quality of a design.
The build quality of the galaxies is among the best.
So storage goes down and ram stays the same? Yawn
Same Soon~
