Anonymous, 19 Aug 2014at last, something decent from microsoft. Nokia design cannot make it, always the same ugly look. If lumias are ugly then this is a generic crapp. Ups, it is, buuut still Lumia design is far way far, way, far far far far, better. And, ups, Nokia is far, way far far far away from this. Just by experience, cause the other stuff is just obvious. But who am i to judge, when Samsung sales big time and all this 'Geek's' think iphone is the first smartphone on the planet and apple are like the kings of tech:))), pathetic, but, as i was saying...
PhoneNerd, 19 Aug 2014Yeah, WP's design is. Wp UI is the best and beautiful UI. But u r blind. So, u cant see it. Ugly is used for boring lagdroid.
That's pretty awesome. Glad HTC had been working hard on quality control and they don't have all the same instant death of hardware issue as often
This phone nearly double the battery life on Windows Phone 8.1 vs Android
I hope someone (maybe at xda-developers) can hack this to add USB OTG support. If it is true that the hardware is identical to the Android version then it must just be software stopping the Windows Phone version from having USB OTG n'est-ce pas? Sure, writing a driver for Windows Phone is non-trivial but may be not impossible?
Very interesting. Would also be interesting to see more Samsung phones running Windows Phone 8.1 or higher. I think I would prefere a Samsung Note 4 or S6 for Windows in stead of Android.
So HTC is doing a good job!
Will it also receive ota upgrade of os or other apps and will it come with the contena too like the lumias thanks some should pls tell me it come it this properties
I'm getting the HTC One M8 this week. The sooner I can dual boot, the better :)
SS, 19 Aug 2014no intrestedwhy did you come here if you are not interested?
der, 19 Aug 2014HTC One M8 with iOs ahahhaIt would be interesting. iPhone would be killed in benchmarks, audio quakity, camera quakity and everything. Wait why do we need iOS again? ...
Time to sell HTC shares.. :P
Now when you see and order HTC One M8 Android phone then company has all the right to send u MS phone in return ;)
Same hardware as the Android variant. It'd be possible to flash this WP8.1 variant with Android if HTC makes it possible and Microsoft doesn't mind it.
Zed, 19 Aug 2014U G L Y ......Quit trolling. This design is probably the best design ever created. Admit it, its beautiful, yes it is!
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2014"Just don't forget to specify "for Windows," or you'll get the wrong device. Gr... moredon't be such a blind fanboy and try to deny the obvious fact.
we all already know that HTC's naming scheme is ridiculous.
same design, same name?
it looks like their marketing department isn't exist at all.
james79, 19 Aug 2014Yes but at just $100 it make sense to buy windows version and flash android - if possible.well, if you read the whole story, you would see that it is also $100 for the Android version. However, all of this is irrelevant, as this is $100 on contract. It isn't just $100 for the phone.
