Fragmentation causing freezes and reboots. That's why I left Android. Not stable OS to deal with.
gilda, 23 Aug 2014Flexible yes. Open source yes. Buttery smooth no. I can live with my WP crashing perhaps once ... moreSorry. Ios and wp in almost all cases do not come close to perfect buttery smooth. And dwindling have more than one crash or stutter a month.
There are the rare lucky ones, but those exist on all platforms. Android included.
Especially on a flagship like S5, m8, g2, note 3 and so forth they do not stutter much and offer a smooth experience in things like Facebook and anime watching.
Plus even though Facebook has been improving in wp it is ghastly what they did to into instead of just getting it right from the start.
[deleted post]Flexible yes. Open source yes. Buttery smooth no. I can live with my WP crashing perhaps once a month. Crashing and stuttering on a regular basis is another thing entirely. My OCD and I cannot live with that.
Anonymous, 22 Aug 2014no crash for me on iOS 7.1.2 with ip 5s.. the research is based on 7.0.4 or 7.0.6 version of i... moreLol. You call me and others fans and insecure. Did you even see what you wrote?
Anonymous, 22 Aug 2014IOS 3rd party apps crash more in IOS7 that in Gingerbread. Thats not a reflection of the OS bu... moreLol. Sure. That's the excuse. Even if that was true then how is it that supposedly the system that is so much easier to develop for and that had 91% of the same os across on one device would have that many crashes on even just third party apps?????
Not to mention the fact that this is not news. They have been leading in this category for quite some time.
Plus the extreme lags and bus of ios7 tell a different story.
kerempet, 22 Aug 2014Dude, my jailbroken ip5s has yet to crash. And i am using the pangu jb. I doubt you own an iph... moreIt's funny reading all your claims only to get to the end and see you speaking of others being in denial.
I imagined that Samsung is big but after seeing the first picture, I am left with no words! Oh, Samsung, what about updating to 4.4 the best-selled Android device, ever?
Anonymous, 22 Aug 2014Just let you know, S3 already have Kitkat update months ago. I don't know where you are from, ... moreThe model with most phones out there according to the graphic is GT-I9300 version of S3 and for this one there has not been KitKat update and there will not be. So I stay on my point about Samsung and their attitude to current clients.
Kerempet, 22 Aug 2014There's no denial that samsung probably is the market leader by sales volume. But apple is... moreRemind me again: why should we be happy when a company we buy from has humongous profit?

I think we in africa and some parts of asia have to stop buyiny android devices and shift to iOS davices since these android devices are not updated to the latest versions even after a year of purchase. iOS devices are updated to the latest software release few days or weeks after release thoughout all supporting devices no matter where you are even in a cave.
AnonD-294382, 22 Aug 2014For your last img, it's just about a myth : http://rustyshelf.org/2014/07/08/the-android-scree... moreSee, it's comments like yours that people like to ignore. It contains valuable information and leads to a source to back it up. Thank you for the link as it sums things up very nicely.
AnonD-276650, 22 Aug 20144.8 in screen still most popular phone out there, not surprised. Too bad manufacturers don't ... moreAfter years of researching, Apple proundly announce that 4.7" is perfect size for one hand use. ;)
You don't know anything about developing Android apps. We don't have to take care of every device and every single resolution, despite ios.
We develop the app with some major different configurations and Android does the rest, if we do our best, magically our app would be compatible (both graphically and usability) on any android device out there.
Android Man, 22 Aug 2014proofs there Samsung are the best. Simple as that, The market leader.
S5 is amazing. There's no denial that samsung probably is the market leader by sales volume.
But apple is still the leader in profit share.
That's what you get when u sell 100 different variations at sub $200 price.
proofs there Samsung are the best. Simple as that, The market leader.
S5 is amazing.
AnonD-77464, 22 Aug 2014nope... 18,769 choices you can make, and definitely one of them will fit your needs.Nope, my needs consist of a phone that just works with the standard apps like fb, whatsapp, anime watcher, manga reader, email, gtalk, viber, skype ect. without lags/stutters or force closes. Something that is buttery smooth. Android does not meet those requirments.
