my iphone 5 is from japan. it is experiencing battery problem. apple centers in India are not giving service to overseas phones. Now from where should i purchase the battery? So that it gives good backup & also do not explodes etc
As, 24 Aug 2014Wow. Way better than samsung . My s2 has issue that heats and battery suddenly drain. This is a strange comment. The S2 is at least 2 years old, maybe 3, so how would you expect it to have the same battery life as a new phone bought this year? And, your phone will last longer, because you can buy a replacement battery.
As, 24 Aug 2014Wow. Way better than samsung . My s2 has issue that heats and battery suddenly drain.Wrong on two main accounts.
First that is not a common problem of the S2. Plus "this also ties in with the second part" that is an old device.....So you probably need a new battery.
Next....It's an old device. The Iphone 5 came out just last year. Until a few weeks from now it will still remain only one phone behind the current.
Clearly copying Samsung's faulty S4 battery is there no innovation left at Apple

Missue, 23 Aug 2014poor Tim Cook... what have you done ... look at your Asia marketing ... u losing to SAMSUNG, L... moredumb comment. Did you even check the prices of the devices you compared the iphone too. i'm sure a xiaomi cost $650 in your country. In my country Xiaomi is "china phone". No brand value unlike Nokia, Apple or even Samsung. Xiaomi will be rivals to lenovo, huawei, Micromax and Xolo...not to iphone
This is what happens when Apple focuses on high profits while cheapening quality.
i have an iphone 5 ... which has a faulty battery . i have matched the serial number on apple website . it says the battery can be replaced under this program. i live in saudi arabia and i have bought this phone from Jarir Bookstore . so now how shall i apply for battery replacement program .. please help me
thanks in advance.
Samsung the CopyKing, 23 Aug 2014Still better then what Samsung did. Apple provide you the choice to change battery if you w... moreHow does an hardware defect even come close to non-mandatory software updates?
I might die. Do my eyes deceive me?
This is the elixir to grab devoted apple fans attention.
Discard and refrain from this company.
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2014Sold between September 2012 and January 2013? It is almost the end of 2014... Dumb comments such as this explains Apple's "high" customer satisfaction. First, any other manufacturer that has an issue the replaces the item for free immediately, not 2 years later, after you'get already sold or traded your phone in. Second, even if it weren't free (which is is during a recall), I'm not sure what planet you're from where an OEM battery costs $50. Third, why doesn't Apple just let users change their own batteries instead of making users deal with it for 2 years? When a company can do now wrong, their customers are always satisfied. "Hey, we sold you a faulty device 2 years ago and now we want to fix it." "Oh, thank you Mr. Cook, you're too kind."
Maybe apple have something dark in there mind.
Like installing some kind of chipset that may see
through your secret file or it will make your
device so lag or jam the signal so bad that you will
replace it with Iphone 6 or 6s
MUhahahahaaha..
Its time to make there hands dirty
again.
Naturally iphones always had battery problems.
Apple does nothing that is "faulty"!
it is Samsung that steals electricity from them.
sue,sue sue.
Today i replaced my battery using replacement program it good now. Thanks GSMArena for posting it.
Gaurav, 23 Aug 2014Well it does on iPhone cz iOS is far more battery efficient than android. BTW its Apple who ca... moreYeah right, it does not matter if the iphone is new or if is using the latest update of the iOS the battery cant handle a whole day.
A little bit too late, isn't it Apple? Sep 2012 was almost two years ago. Those people maybe already sold their phones. I thought that they are renowned for their fast responses!
Cenas, 23 Aug 2014Slow iPhone? Isn't that impossible??Thanks to ios7 slow iPhones are now made possible.
If you tried an iPhone4/4s 8/16GB. You will find out these are more laggy than Samsung.
I totally agree with those who say that Apple devices are over priced and what consumer is actually paying for is the brand value but this is something what other companies need to learn from Apple. They could have just let it go...who anyways cares for devices sold 2 years ago but here is where Apple sets the benchmark. I have been a loyal HTC fan for over 6 years and when I received a HTC one with famous "Purple/Pink" default filter camera ; HTC cared least. I reached to them over mails, twitter but they hardly cared. RIP HTC...the one was my last device. Waiting for Iphone 6 to finally make a choice b/w it and LG G2 (nice budget option currently)
