Wow! The web login will really be a winner! This will be the feature that will really make the fingerprint scanner useful!

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2014Swipe is never going to take off. 1. U look like a jackass trying to swipe in front of peop... moreDo you even use it?!?!?

using daily you get used to it and once you are it is fine to use. There is a set number of finger prints to recognise so you would be an idiot if you cant remember which finger to unlock with. Use one finger for all! Done!

It is good samsung are constantly trying to update the phone with little improvements here and there.

talal asim, 26 Aug 2014Well i wish that Samsung makes a fingerprint sensor like apple where you just have to rest you... moreI think you should see a doctor for that. It's not fair to blame Samsung for your bladder issues.

talal asim, 26 Aug 2014Well i wish that Samsung makes a fingerprint sensor like apple where you just have to rest you... morebut then you would get the apple trolls calling samsung copycat for using same fingerprint tech, at least this is different in the way it works, I also think apple have patented the way their reader works so would be hard for samsung to create a totally new way of reading the fingerprint via just placing the finger, there are only a few ways to read it, and apple have the rights to one of them, and bought patents for various other tech to force other companies to use other methods.

Well i wish that Samsung makes a fingerprint sensor like apple where you just have to rest your finger or your thumb in any position you want. Sliding finger in one straight position everytime is incontinent sometimes.

Strudel, 26 Aug 2014Galaxy fingerprint scanner is desined to be as successful as S Voice.Swipe is never going to take off.

1. U look like a jackass trying to swipe in front of people.
2. U rather use the flip cover / smart cover then to swipe.
3. U care to remember which finger swipe = which app to use?? so messy
4. And you need 2 hands to swipe.

Rather it push it like on a button. Or on the screen scan your fingerprint.. So much screen space? Wasted.

It will always be seen as a feature directly copied from Apple. If Samsung wants to distinguish itself, then they should make their fingerprint scanner built into the display itself not to the home button. That would be more innovative.
