... You're all brainwashed by crApple... It's sad. Why wait for them to make feature improvements to a phone that EVERY other phone already has? My crappy phone has a 2 MP camera, LED flash, MMS messaging, 320x240 video recording, great music player (and i don't have to use that crappy iTunes)and... Well, the only thing my phone doesn't have is a touch screen.
So, my phone was $260 UNLOCKED for hundreds of features... iPhone is $200 contracted, way more unlocked, and all its got on my phone is a touch screen. Congratulations, crApple. You managed to trick people in to buying a crappy phone, and to keep those people coming back for more. They have one hell of a marketing strategy but no good product to back it up.
Even I'm curious to see just how bad the 3rd iPhone will fail. So far, I have yet to be proven wrong by them.

OmniVision will make the 3.2MP cameras for the new iphone, it's a cheap mass production cameras so don't expect high quality photos

There is no flash for the camera, so: a) How does one take pictures in low light, say, in a bar, with family over dinner? b) Illuminate a scene when making a video recording? I call fake, unless Apple have invented some incredible low light camera technology using unobtanium (uO), mined in the foothills of Cupertino.

That could never be the definition of fail. Their one iphone outsells other brands entire smartphone line.

they degraded the design, 3MP camera with 30 or 15 fps vga video recording(probably). not impressive at all, all the iphone owners might keep the current one.

Apple releaases their new flagship phone in 2009 with 3.2 mp camera.. hahahaha!!! Well at least they added mms etc, so it's should be better then a rock from 10,000 bc. But still no bluetooth?

The Iphone costs less to produce than any of the other phones you mentioned. It's simply overpriced... while the technology simply isn't there. Also, I somehow doubt that it's cheaper. The unlocked version costs around $300 more than the N97, and the N97 is one of the most expensive phones to date.
Seriously people, why are you buying this pricy shit? For half the price, you could get twice the specs, as well as MUCH BETTER application support, as the Iphone is limited to App Store only, while anything can be downloaded anywhere to other phones.

All those people why say mega pixels don’t matter are correct when taking photos outside in day light but when you take photos inside or at night you need a 5 mega pixels, you don’t need 8 or 12 mega pixel they produce to much noise but 5 mega pixel is essential especially when you have xenon flash.

Seriously, in Australia, the Xperia X1 and N96 and HTC Touch Pro and many more are more expensive than this. The most expensive being the X1 at a whooping $1500aud. The iPhone 16gb is only $900aud for a locked one.
