AdamBoy64, 08 Sep 2014Oh thank goodness they didn't.I am just glad they didnt went Nokia way
Using Q10 as my secondary phone & loving it.
like the idea of trackpad returning.
But the classic form factor/design/size make it not ideal to be used as secondary phone alongside my 5.7" android.
Keeping my Q10 then.
Anonymous, 08 Sep 2014BlackBerry Classic should've used Android OS! RIP BlackBerry! If blackberry will go android.. Then all of the phones will be running android... And its a bad thing. If u don't like the phone.. Then buy some upcoming android phone. And BB don't need to shift to android. Because BB is BB... If they go to android, they'll die
FrostJoke, 08 Sep 2014Is BlackBerry deliberately putting outdated hardware on their upcoming devices?
I mean, is ... morePerhaps they tested faster chipsets, but found the speed increase wasn't worth the price.
Or perhaps the hardware was finalised a number of months ago.

i hope the Passport and this Classic have removable battery.
their latest phones have non-removable battery, which is one of the reasons why they failed badly in the smartphone market.
der, 08 Sep 2014i think we can say this: blackberry is back!I'm guessing your day job is a comedian?
Is BlackBerry deliberately putting outdated hardware on their upcoming devices?
I mean, is it that bad if we can have a Blackberry Passport or Classic running Snapdragon 800-AC/801/805 at the most?, the 2GB RAM is fine enough though.
Good phone but i like it only if the spec of the phone is as good as passport means 3 gb ram, 13 mp camera ....etc
What a beautiful and stunning piece of innovation...the os is great and the choice in devices is wonderful this is bound to stand out in a CROWD.
rolphez, 08 Sep 2014This is perfection at it's best...just because Apple was able to change sane minded people to ... moreProper innovation? This innovation is like 10 years old. Only those half in the grave would think Blackberry is innovative.
You have the passport and then Classic, you know Blackberry going to have a wild time racking up the sales like they did in 2009!
This phone is perfect for security conscious buyers. Nothing can match the security of a blackberry.
Anonymous, 08 Sep 2014its not perfection, or else there wouldn't be new stuff coming every-now and then, also, you c... moreI did not contradict myself at all. I just mentioned the android applications integration for those who are afraid of trying the new BB phone due to their excuse of "lack of applications" :)
I also never said Android is better lol, I'm not sure how you read my comment but I can do just fine without android integration but the BB10 OS is that good that it can do both! Something which no other OS can.
So before you start with your accusations kindly read properly!

no BB never kept up with touch screen and the touch experience because it was never meant for entertainment, IOS was born out of the ipod (an entertainment device), and android came up to be a "geek-like" environment its "openness" allowed it to be the target for random hackers and developers alike.
anyways, this is great, "classic", BB should create its own "niche", they should have never strive away from it, its not about if its fun vs boring or open vs closed platform, if you check everywhere its about "identity", apple has gotten that clear for decades, google slowly build-ed it, but BB seems to have lost it the last years, hope they succeed again we really need more options and development of new technologies.
also the frame / canvas of this classic give it a nice stylish touch
Great for BB hardcore users but it aint gonna pull in new users. The good thing for BB here is that they are free to charge a high price, they will not sell many but the profit per unit sold will be good.
This is perfection at it's best...just because Apple was able to change sane minded people to numb minded robots accepting anything Apple claims as gospel doesn't mean there aren't many people who are still able to know proper innovation when they see it.
Blackberry may have not kept up with the touch technology like Apple and Google did but they are truly coming back with awesome devices. Blackberry 10 OS is the best OS to ever be run on mobile phone handsets and now with full Android integration for a bigger applications and games ecosystem, people would be silly to not give new Blackberry a try!
