Anonymous, 09 Jun 2009Android is nice but it doesn't have 50,000 Applications, no other phone OS does, this is fact.... moreIndeed, Iphone has over 50.000 apps, but how long is this phone on the market? More then a year if not almost 2, and still apps are rejected for bs reasons. The android a few months. Plus with Apple you need permition to launch an app with android its open source so no BS with that.
Like Nokia you can make your own apps without having to have permition (with nokia its a grey area though).

Selling my officially unlocked iPhone 3G 16GB would cover most of it except I may as well play around with OS 3.0 for a while, there's plenty of new stuff under the hood.
What most people seem to be missing is that the major changes aren't visible ones they are improvemts in the iPhone's usability which is what has always set it apart from the other manufacturers.
For years people had these other smartphones but the majority of people never used most of the functions, once average phone users got their hands on iPhone's they started using the web, sending emails, installing applications etc because Apple made it so easy anyone can do it.
I fail to see how video recording is an "amazing feature".

Poita, 09 Jun 2009The fact that you make a "new" phone, wich has practicly the same features makes Apple a joke.... moreAndroid is nice but it doesn't have 50,000 Applications, no other phone OS does, this is fact.
Safari has been updated and the changes to the desktop version will flow through to the iPhone OS 3.0 version.
Anyway I notice the Palm Pre has gone very quiet it was released on the 6th...
...RIP Palm
@anonymous who was being rude to a previous poster.
I work for Carphone warehouse in the UK. We are an independant Phone shop, and sell Many phones on a wide range of UK networks. This includes the I-phone which is available in the UK using O2 as a carrier.
I am able to go out the back, grab an i-phone, and a Nokia/Samsung/Sony Ericsson/HTC, etc in order to compare the two to any customers that wishes to have it demonstrated.....
Maybe you ought to do some research of your own before you start bullying others.
Just because the I-phone is carrier specific in your country, does not mean that is the case across the world.
Grow up you
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2009What part of signing up to a contract don't you understand?
You break it you pay it out, sa... moreany one that got the original iphone 2g, was autherised to do early upgrade when the 3g was launched. we all started 18 months again........ an now am stuck with the 3g,,, an want the 3gs...
as i say apple has pulled a fast one on us....
[deleted post]What part of signing up to a contract don't you understand?
You break it you pay it out, same as if you got any other brand of phone on a contract.
The fact that you make a "new" phone, wich has practicly the same features makes Apple a joke. The specs are nothing for 2009. Yeah if it were 2000 you have a nice phone. 3MP? Please! battery life, damn... Apps, wich phone doesnt have it? WITHOUT paying for it! Its the WAY it works that makes it a nice phone, not WHAT it does. Even the Android phone (G) kicks Iphone butt...
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2009since when is iphones selling at normal phone shops like yours, that even sells Nokia phones? ... morePlease do your research, if you go to belgium they are being sold in belcompany, where you can buy nokia, samsung, se, htc... This should shut you up.
[deleted post]I have a feeling Apple actually did this for people like yourself. My two year plan will finish when the next iPhone will be about. I think Apple know's this so this update is a slight tinker introducing basic features it lacked, to the wonderful innovative features it already had. They have now made a complete phone, but the next one might be the overhaul on the hardware side, to maybe make a few MP wh*res make the jump...

Finally all you Iphone fanboys can stop spouting the same old rubbish (it’s a copy of the iphone) why?????????????????????????? Because the iphone has just copied Android & installed a digital compass.
How many designs can there be for a touchscreen just stop moaning the iphone suites some users Symbian suites other & win mobile & android suites others
Even if this new edition of the iPhone is not much of a novelty, it is far better than any other Nokia out there! Nokia still don`t have an answer not even to the first iPhone! LOL!!
