The iPhone is ok phone, for casual auditory.
Most ridiculous was the fact, that many service providers paid to actors to create a row just to attract potential customer. I'm glad that Europeans has a brain :D

With all the fuss at its launch, the Iphone did not win the hearts of the europeans, at least not in eastern Europe. In Romania where I live, the Iphone is just a total failure, a kitschy device, regarded as a toy for people that play with it all day long and wonder how great the technology is nowadays. It missed the hype because of the Apple selling strategy that ties the device to the impoverishing service. Fortunately for europeans, the service providers have a different strategy that separates the service from the device. The device belongs to the user, it's up to him/her to purchase it, while the company sels the service. Some expensive devices can be subsidized for a 1-2 year committed contract, but it's not worth the effort to commit for a 15% subvention (the service providers have got ripped off with the 50-80% subventions when some customers refused to comply with the contract terms and ended the contracts without paying). The Iphone did not fall into the market when expected, but much later when the market was flooded with unofficial grey Iphones, doctored and unlocked by people that prefer to sell 3-4 overpriced phones/month to get a living instead of getting a job. I played with a first generation Iphone for about an hour and i was not impressed by the functionality. It works, it's well build, nicely finished, but for me something is missing, it's not usefull. Few months ago I replaced my old Palm with an Xperia X1 for 400euros, although the Iphone was cheaper at 320. I absolutely hate the Apple software and the fact that every by of data has to pass through the PC to the Iphone. That is a big NO. 3Megapixel cameras are on the phones since few years ago. So far I have seen a single Iphone user reading newspapers on the subway (probably too busy to do so at work), the rest of them were kids playing games on the way to the school or university, definitely not capable of paying the subscription or being on prepaid SIM. So, don't hate me, Iphone fans, but some people don't care about the Iphone3GSUMTSGSMHSDPAHSUPA (or whatever acronym might have).

The iPhone is for people who can't operate electronic gadgets with more than one hardware button and for certain nationalities where SMS text messaging is unheard of, unlike in the rest of the world. It has long been proven that hardware keypads are the fastest & easiest way to create text messages and to make phone calls. If you wanna get a fancy gizmo, get an iPod Touch, or better yet, a PSP.

No Videocall , no mms , no gps .. etc.. and expensive as well... why ??
my guess Apple marketing in making the phone so unavailable and locking it on a single carrier made people want this phone even if its no better than a bunch of old phones.
