I have Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0(SM-T210) . I bought it in 2013 summer. It came with 4.1.2 and today it has still 4.1.2 NO more Samsung for me. Thanks!
well, this is sort of what you get when you put your faith in a phone with a MediaTek chipset; Sony can only wait for MediaTek to release support for future Android OS builds, and MediaTek are notorious for keeping devices stuck on versions of Android, with the only model that has made it to KitKat being the octa-core one? It really isn't Sony's fault here, plus the Xperia C isn't targeting people who need the latest and greatest, it is targeting the budget end of the market, where people are assumed to not require anything more than base features for a smartphone.

Clearly you're just another Apple haters like everyone else does. FYI I've used both Android and iOS, liked the flexibility and customization of Android, but love the stability of iOS more. :)

No lie, but this is just bull. I bought my SP a month ago, and your telling me no kikkat, no andriod L? Sony, no lie but u suck, and this is how customers are lost. I don't think I can use andriod ever again, unless it's a nexus. Otherwise this issue of updates is unacceptable. How do 2013 phone not get 2013/2014 updates? How???
Bye bye andriod, and welcome windows phone.
I won't spend any more money on Sony Mobile Phone. I am selling it and never buy any handset made by Sony. BUY FOREVER.
Wtf Sony... You have to update phones for 1.5 years at least! Breaking rules like that give Android devices bad name!

Its true dat ip4s is getting update. But dats nothing to boast about. If an os just open and closes an app then i think even ip4 has cpu which more then sufficient to be upgraded. But in that case apple will looses its pretty market share. Thats why all this gimmick is goin' on.
Sony is becoming worst. I have been waiting for kitkat upgrade from last six months for my SP and they just crashed it.
Stupid Sony. Should Support a device for atleast 2 years.
long live I-OS and WP :)
No body, 12 Sep 2014Well, this is a good reason for not buying Sony again!you should try to buying a Samsung midrange phone, yeah it's better for you. maybe you lucky and getting an android kitkat or L update, try it my friend. try try try :)
Not surprised in the slightest. The Xperia J only ever got one major update and users had to wait a few extra months for it. These days, i see no point in even buying low end sonys, HTCs or Samsungs when you can get much better software and specs for the same (& sometimes lower) price if you go to Motorola.

As sometime who owns a Xperia c and a nexus 7 running 4.4.4, I couldn't care less. There's nothing my nexus can do that my xperia can't, in fact, each time my nexus gets a new update, it removes features. I've noticed no improvements in speed, battery life, smoothness. ART does nothing noticeable.
Trust me guys, your not missing anything.

The fact is that there is nothing special about the processor or chipset for the Xperia C, it's standard MT6589.
And had it been special, why whould it be a valid excuse? Companies must plan for the whole lifecycle, not just three months ahead.
ooohhhh so many bashers and troll here, partying !
taking advantage of this small matter...
well my brother will be sad, he just bought this phone couple months ago.
But doesn't matter for me, I avoid any Mediatek phone like this one.
The issue is with its processor actually!
