I tried and disparately place my pre-order to any Apple online store ever since IPhone 6 was launch but no avail. I want to be one who will have that gadgets soon, the price is just fair and Apple do the right marketing and it will create a flash floods into smartphones markets....it will add to my collections of bigger screen of 4.7" and up....Good luck other smartphones I'm still collecting bigger screen...whatever its model...it's more fun huh!

Nathillien, 13 Sep 2014How much was in stock? (???) How easy for Apple to reveal that? (dead easy) Will they do it?... moreThey usually report sales a few weeks after the phones are released. Why do you suddenly expect them to report pre-orders less than 24hrs after pre-orders have started? Chill your tits, man.

I can't speak for African countries, but in the countries that I traveled to, the iPhone is just a phone, not a status symbol.

I am from a remote part of Africa but I have been blessed to attend university education in Nairobi Kenya. en I don't even own flagship phone. I own samsung galaxy trend plus s7580 en I happened to see an iPhone...it's only a person who lacks intelligence that will choose an iPhone. It doesn't even have USB port. and this stories about lagging..they are true but you have to consider the many features android delivers. and I will always choose these features over zero lag any day. besides if you want beauty HTC one is the most beautiful phone. If you want productivity samsung s5, note 3 and lg g3 are the most productive phones in the world, their is absolutely no way that an iPhone is better than a DROID. ..that is a universally accepted truth that's why iPhone will only be bought by rich people who only care about brand names....even lumia is better than iPhone

Apple change its mind about small screen because they can't ignore anymore people demand different "user experience" than they insist on the one that's best for them.

Its irony that the "best size" is no longer a choice, maybe next year there will be a 3.5" iPhone classic.

I promise you people can decide on their own the "best " user experience.

harlekkin, 13 Sep 2014Because sometimes, less control means fewer breaking points. Apple does this not to angry cust... morehaving these features only give you more flexibility. You can still use only the original battery, onboard memory until you need the other.

Do you honestly believe Apple cant implement these common features without degrading the user experience?

People should have options just like they finally getting the option of a bigger screen.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2014this proves that many ifan secretly wanted a bigger phone against what Apple were willing to o... moreBecause sometimes, less control means fewer breaking points. Apple does this not to angry customers but to ensure that iPhone works as seamless as possible.

Cheap, third party batteries are a safety threat. Authentic batteries cost a LOT. Just pay the money to get it replaced in an apple store.

SD cards slow down the phone and gallery, hence the user experience is impacted significantly. Onboard memory is much faster.

Not an iPhone fan but I am all for competition that will keep both platforms sharp. I knew all along that a lot of iPhone fans hated the punee screens and were envious of Android large screen phones/Phablets and quietly yewned for iPhones with large screens. I commented a while back that Apple has no choice but to venture into the Phablet territory and compete instead of letting Sammy to that space by themselves.
Now look... the iFans have gobbled up all the 6+ in all those countries with a 3 to 4 week wait time. I hope this is a good lesson learned for Apple...that one size fits all model is out dated.

this proves that many ifan secretly wanted a bigger phone against what Apple were willing to offer. Now what about SD card, removable battery ,dual sim, water resistance etc....

Its time that Apple adapt the many common features and let people decide if its useful or not. Why insist that billions of iPhone user use it the same way?

people should not have to wait years after year or buy extra adaptors to get those features.

AnonD-111968, 13 Sep 2014User experience and optimized iOS: i have icolleagues who complained a lot that their devices'... moreSpeak for yourself. Brands are brands for a reason.

Defects and security leaks are part of all OS's, what's so surprising? Overall however, iOS is much better thought through than Android. And yes I use both.

The file transfer issue isn't as big an issue as you might think. And with AirDrop it's even lesser an issue. Bluetooth is too slow for large files anyway. Most sharing of content is photos and perhaps music, and that's become a bit redundant now with people using Facebook & Spotify.

I've owned an iPhone for 4 years and have never regretted it. But if iOS could run on a SHARP Crystal X phone, I'd seriously consider swapping. The bezels on that thing are ridiculous.

User experience and optimized iOS: i have icolleagues who complained a lot that their devices' volume control is not working, experience for children to play this expensive toy, and iOS is optimized making it hard to transfer or copy a file to or from other deives - that's the sad truth about iOS, and another experience-some photos where hacked in this so called safe iOS. Smart buyers value money over brand. Z3 Compact is the better valued option over iphone6.
