Well a) I'm happy that EE is supporting this, meaning their commitment to better coverage and service.
b) better coverage for countryside and certain town/city black spots
c) all round no downside to this tech being available.

Would have been useful when I use to live in a townhouse where I would get no reception. Now I have great service in my new home. I think wifi calling would be useful in a rare situation.

And the callee doesnt know the difference. Sounds like the beginning to moving all GSM (2G) to UMTS (3G), LTE (4G) or in time ? (5G).
But "I use the service often to call home from another country for free". How? Not even the just announced version of Hangout supports free calls from Hangout to GSM except in the US if I understand correctly.

Americans get the worst mobile phone deals ever. No wifi calling???? It would be cheaper to come live in OZ.We don't screwed that much even by Telstra.
