Very nice build quality, but still, who would want to carry (on regular basis) a camera that can also serve as a smartphone ?!
If ever Panasonic will release a regular smartphone, I am sure it will be the best, they still have high quality sandards.
Eske Rahn, 15 Sep 2014This looks really interesting!
But what about zoom?....Just checked the source, there are NO zoom, fixed 28mm (equivalent).
So less interesting, but still impressive.
AnonD-105312, 15 Sep 2014Bad DesignWell it LOOKS nice, but seems very pocket-unfriendly
If only they could make the lens a little more flush itd be awesome
else it has the same problem as the galaxy thing:
its a compact camera that also does phone.
what most ppl want is a phone that also does camera, with a very good camera. currenty phones have average cameras.
when we bridge that gap, the product will be good
"Panasonic intros expensive Android phone with 1" camera" it's fine! ...but with small optical zoom.
Never mind the camera. The build looks excellent, more than enough processing power, and the display is a great compromise between size, density and resolution. If they cut out the fancy camera, slimmed the phone down and launched with virtually stock Android L, this would be a major competitor for the Galaxy Alpha, and the iPhone
