iphone and ipad does need more ram.
For anyone who disagree, try open music player and listening to music while you open 4 tabs of website of something like gsmarena and phon*arena on safari and boom, force close, you will see that your ipad does need more ram. I tested it in ipad mini 2.
gam30toronto, 17 Sep 2014i think the billion dollar company knows what they are doing much better than you. so just stfuYes they are a billion dollar company because there are enough people like you out there who buy this overpriced piece of crap. And they know it. It doesn't matter what apple serve, the blind fanboys will eat anything out of their hand.
NEW icrap phones are really a bad joke.smh
and all u hear is ooohh but ios runs so smooth it doesnt need ram nor more cores on cpu its 64 bit.i say jajajajaj laughable piece of crap sold for gold u ppl WHO buy are sheeps they are laughing at you
Well, it's not a Moto G, but a very expensive flagship. 1Gb is a joke.
Iphone is doomed. But that is not the most irritating part. It's more that Tim Cook is trying to be like Steve Jobs and behaves like him. Talk big pause, talk look up as some grand design and pause . Mimic with hands and pause etc and then make intensive statement like you have invented darkness in farthhole. There was only one Steve Jobs and Tim Cook is better be original and not trying to copy Steve's talk, walk, looks, and everything else. Well i guess Tim will be fired after this failuer and that they will bring someone original opposite to Steve. Some mad guy who is very loud and just talks without pause. Apple needs a fresh blood.
gam30toronto, 17 Sep 2014i think the billion dollar company knows what they are doing much better than you. so just stfuyes they know of course,
selling a 1000$ "Daily Activity" phone to people like you,(as gsmarena mentioned)
it's you who don't know what they're doing , LOL.
I think not, Arena of GSM!!
a lot of problems the iPhone 5S has already. ridiculous is this statement of yours!
The "only" problem in this case is the price ... it's too high mr.apple .... i'll go with the next NEXUS6
What a joke... Then when they get 2GB all iSites will proclaim it as InNovation. PS love the way this site stays impartial does not change headlines to Apple rivals news unlike fanboys over at iPA. Banning anyone for speaking out against Apple fanboyism due to low specification on products and hi premium prices for mid range 4.7" iPhone.
gam30toronto, 17 Sep 2014i think the billion dollar company knows what they are doing much better than you. so just stfuIf they know it's okay. But what is the harm in putting 1gb extra ram for future proof. Anyway they are charging more. 5.5" screen with 1gb ram will be good only for day to day use but not multitasking. Read the news before you comment.
ok, even if i agree that iphone6 doesn't require premium specs to run smoothly then why is the price tag premium????
iOS is a primitive OS designed for low end hardware.
one app runs at a time...no true multi-tasking.
so 1gb would be fine.
remember its a greedy company...wants to make maximum profit so why give users 2gb ram when they can add that next year and make some apps incompatible on 1gb so that people get the new model.
GSMA, sort out your spacing in comments.
I wanted apple pie, not a pie face.
simonsnake, 17 Sep 2014Why does anyone even care how much RAM it has, it only matters what the experience isexperience is also cr*p since there are so many things one can't do on an iphone but can be done on android.
everybody desires a different experience and android gives us that freedom.
using iphone is like being in jail.
so plz dont talk about experience
Anyone for some apple pie?

"probably won't be noticeable in most daily activities."
so "DAILY ACTIVITIES" ? how about 3d rendering plus multitasking? haha.
well said gsmarena,i like that part where you wrote "daily activities".
a 1000$ daily activity phone, LOL.
i love you guys GSMARENA, thx
Design is copied from HTC One. Limited specs. & features.peeh...trash
Ios does not need more than 1gb of ram to run smooth - okey - i believe ya. But what about apps? How on earth will a game run? I think this decision will be remembered as the turning point. There is no way iphone will be able to cope with the latest developments in software. And why do they needed the 64 bit cpu? FAIL!
