the recent news said that LG Wine will be available worldwide. starting with Europe and Japan.
that's a smart and bold move from LG, since no other manufacturers brave enough to distribute their clamshell smartphone worldwide.
It seems like a good one, when can we expect this in India? eagerly waiting for new Flip models
this is the phone I want for my 82-year-old father who has limited mobility but is sharp mentally. . tactile keyboard with smartphone features. How soon is this coming to the US? Who will carry this? I might switch...
we all know now in marcket there are no flip phone! even im waiting for a full featured flip smartphone marcket realy need a change !im sick of these touch phones !
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2014That is indeed your problem. And basically only shared by online haters. It's so funny how they go for it now. Just like half the g line and most mid rangers looking like galaxies. Just like Optimus ui and most of the features being a touchwiz knock off. Just like them randomly coming with the stylus integrated device. And now the flip phone just like samsung.
Yet they can't actual match in most ways. Not that they are bad. I like them. But the obvious is obvious.
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2014Um. Does it run android? Then it's relevant. And LG is well known for copying samsung. Loo... morebut this phone is far to different from samsung golden design... what ? just because samsung used android , soo other is copy samsung cause using android also? seems logic here
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2014In other words you are an lg fan over looking factsnope... i support all product , just dont like samsung ... looks cheap ... my taste , my problem ... what people said , thats their problem...
Janz, 22 Sep 2014Ignorant? I think you are the ignorant one...
T9 works wonderfully with Korean, unlike Jap... moreI agree 100%, Janz. There are way too many Eurocentric comments made on the Internet these days. Just because this is an English-only website does not mean that everyone has to think like a European.
Many Koreans prefer the numpad to write. It is quite efficient and very fast. I have witnessed it. I've seen grandmothers texting very quickly. It's quite astonishing. Their language is very scientific, so their is no need for a QWERTY-esque keyboard on a phone.
AnonD-291771, 22 Sep 2014You do realize that it has a numpad and not a qwerty keyboardYes. That was his/her point. The original poster was saying that a T9 keypad was dumb. The responder, Janz, rebutted by saying that Koreans don't require a QWERTY keypad. Honestly, the original poster was being very Eurocentric, which actually is quite ignorant.
AnonD-106979, 22 Sep 2014Yeah, I was shocked with its ridiculous price.I was shocked at its ridiculously higher specs sheet and offerings.
AnonD-106979, 22 Sep 2014Actually, LG Wine series were released before the arrival of the expensive Samsung Galaxy Gold... moreActually the golden is just the latest of the Samsung bunch and brings much more advanced options.
Dot-WiFi, 22 Sep 2014its far too different from golden ... it just flip phone type ... i dont understand how come u... moreUm. Does it run android?
Then it's relevant.
And LG is well known for copying samsung. Loom at the Optimus ui and the g line.
This comes after Samsung is paving this market and does nothing to differentiate itself except being cheaper.
Just another attempt to copy samsung that the fans will deny.
The didn't match the Samsung ones in anyway. The only win at one thing and that's price because they made this much cheaper in every aspect.
Dot-WiFi, 22 Sep 2014nope... not interested... ugly and too thickIn other words you are an lg fan over looking facts
Also they should've made it a swivel fold. As Samsung's Android Flip Phones have screens on both sides.
