Finally, htc will have a tablet and it mustn't be disappointing like flyer it must make iPad air feel small. HTC for life no matter what
maverick786us, 22 Sep 2014I think just like Apple, Google should manufacture their own hardware for Nexus smartphone and... moreApple doesn't manufacture their own equipment, only design it. Look up a company called Foxcon, they do Sony's stuff too among others.
NEXUS by HTC, 22 Sep 2014Pros:-
-Built quality. ... more- It will be available in retail stores just like other Nexus devices.
- We still yet to see prices. Despite being Samsung, Nexus 10 was much cheaper than Samsung branded tablets. It's Google to set the price.
- 4:3 is much better for web browsing and size is much better to be mobile than 10,1 16:10.
- It's might be not OLED, but JDI screens are very good. Those made jointly by Sharp/JDI and used in Meizu are best out of all TFT type displays.
so anyone saying that google didnt choose sony to manufacture their nexus, because of update prob??
loll please dont try to troll here.
nexus = direct google update
Sony supports their flagships well, the Z is 4.4.4 is proof of that. However they are not good at supporting their mid range or entry level devices.
-Dual front facing speakers.
-Available only at Play store.
-Expensive bcos by HTC.
-Odd aspect ratio. (16:10 is much better)
-Washed out colors from LCD display.
cool, htc flyer was cool :)
i can't wait, nexus 6 or 9 or 10 or whatever i decide is my future phone, yayayayayay
Paul, 22 Sep 2014I much prefer a 10.1" or 10.5" screen tablet, 9" is just too small. Give use a... more4:3 8,9'' is 18,1x13,6 cm
16:10 10,1'' is 21,8x13,6 cm
same width, but 3,6cm shorter than 10,1. more mobile. nearly ideal size.
AnonD-60230, 22 Sep 2014Samsung or Moto are failing? are u on drugs?Moto did crash down in 2010, closed its international network and limited itself to US only market. It's still small local US manufacturer.
maverick786us, 22 Sep 2014I think just like Apple, Google should manufacture their own hardware for Nexus smartphone and... moreApple does not manufacture anything its own. They hire large manufacturers for that like foxconn. Same as Google hires Samsung, Asus, LG etc.
they say they don't want to play favorites, yet all the nexus devices to date are between HTC, Samsung, LG, Moto and even ASUS. Where's the Sony? wonder if Google is waiting so that the new nexus phone and tablet are both sony...
Saeed.kh, 22 Sep 2014If ur new to ANDROID , then give a try and pick a NEXUS device / android tastes good only on N... moreWhat are you talking about? Nexus for iOS user you'd be kidin, he should try HTC ONE M8 instead, cuz that is better in all respect and mostly in UX. if iOS guys comes to Nexus they will not last longer with Android and will again switch. Nexus is for purist doesn't means its for people who switches.
Nexus Fan, 22 Sep 2014I think its hard.. as it is purchased by Apple Inc. now if i am not wrong. You're wrong. Apple bought Beats. BoomSound isn't Beats.
Google is trying to prop up HTC because it is failing. Google cannot have one of the original Android big-names fail. Google will support HTC, LG, Samsung, Moto and Sony if needs be.
Nexus Fan, 22 Sep 2014I think its hard.. as it is purchased by Apple Inc. now if i am not wrong. Boom Sound is HTC made. The M8 came out after the split but still had better speakers than the M7
google needs back to htc, because google want to competes with new ipad and htc would be the best partnership for google for its beauty and excellent design and also best body quality.htc makes the best quality and thats what google needs.
I'm very confident that HTC can make a better tablet in term of ecstatic (appearance) than Samsung, LG, Sony or even Asus.
HTC is famous for product design and similar level like Apple.
Usually Google will use different vendors to produce smartphone and tablet at the same time.
