Nokia should show Symbian Anna/Belle much earlier, itswas nice idea. If not Symbian they can easily go Android. Just...put same hardware like Samsung/HTC in thier phone...and give maps, great camra...and they would destroy other comapnies. Nokia with Android...it would be able to survive, they can try work on great MeeGo, maybe if Microsoft give WP license for free they can try it but not like they did in 2010 x(
RIP Nokia, now if you choose other OS you are his slave, you need to assign to an email account, appshop account, Google/Apple/Microsoft want to know everything about you. Microsoft relatively recently add sd-card
support for games and apps. Every manufacturer makes life difficult for users...where is competition with a good product like Belle/Meego.
AnonD-164032, 28 Sep 2014awesome!! nokia 5800xm! loved it so much! would like to own one 5800 or n8 as a spare.. symbia... moreSorry but Symbian was dead by 2008 and management team was clueless, and yes every 6 months we saw major changes in Symbian and departments. Meego was the way to go but instead 100's of millions were wasted on Nokia Netbook. It was a sad time when Symbian people dismissed Android & Apple iOS as the future.
T.J., 28 Sep 2014Android dominates the market? Apple has 3 phones being sold at a time and holds a great amoun... morethats one phone selling at the top (if thats even true)
google/android has so many manufacturers phones ranging from $20 - $1000.00+ NZD
and in fact does have the market share
ur comparison is only relevant if comparing individual phones not a entire platform
Apple blunder and you guys talking about a very old Nokia phone to justified Apple crop as if its Nokia having problem with their phones currently. You don't see that there ain't nothing spectacular about Apple phones since Samsung stop making components for them? Get real people. Let the apple lay where fall. No pun intended
awesome!! nokia 5800xm! loved it so much! would like to own one 5800 or n8 as a spare.. symbian rocked.. untill ms killed it :(
Why when Apple blunder you people seeks out other company misfortune to compare it with? So good you guys can't find any thing of this sort on Samsung else there would be a million videos, comments, etc chastising them. Apple have been playing catch up for years now and you guys calling it innovation. Hardware specs on the latest Iphones are specs that other other high end phone company pass through in 2011 & 2012 and now their firmware and software is croppy but they know they have real loyal idiots. Prejudice or what?!
Anonymous, 28 Sep 2014N97 was touch and type keyboard and n8 ,5800 only touch so its rightThe N8 & the E7 were two separate successors to the N97. Both followed on it's path. The N8 followed the "Camera Flagship" path, and the E7 followed the "Keyboard" path.
The N8 can't possibly be 5800's successor as N8 was from the "Camera Flagship" lineage.
Cenas, 28 Sep 2014FYI, N97 was not the 5800's successor. It was the high range sibling.Where did I say that the N97 was 5800's successor?
AnonD-242074, 28 Sep 2014Lol why would you miss your friends because of their cell phones? They don't, and did not say that.
Re-read their comment again.
Android dominates the market? Apple has 3 phones being sold at a time and holds a great amount of market share. also the 5s was the top selling phone 9 out of 12 months it was the flagship of Apple.
AnonD-26236, 28 Sep 2014I miss my friends who owned some of those phones back then.Lol why would you miss your friends because of their cell phones?
"WP7 itself didn’t make it to legend status either as it was killed a year later in favor of Windows Phone 8."
WP7 launched in October 2010. WP8 launched in October 2012.
Actually I still love the design of the display in iOS 6 onwards unlike iOS 7 the display is almost similar with Android.. Zzzzz
