AnonD-175233, 30 Sep 20145.9".... no thanks. Probably AMOLED too, 2x no thanks.Just curious...why no love for Amoled screens, they work well on Sammy devices. I can understand no love for the screen size...the large size impedes one handed use & carrying it around might be another issue but can be tolerated.
The phablet market is huge. The new standard for high end phones is 5.2". It's highly likely at this point that the Nexus 6 will be 5.9". They didn't name it "Shamu" for nothing.
Samsung is the only real player in the phablet field. The price of the Note 4 is too high and it won't even come with Android L installed. One has to wait for updates that come slowly and then there's all that bloatware.
If this phone comes with Qi charging out of the box, I'm buying.
It's also fairly likely that there will be a 5.2" model that is almost like the Moto X. If not, just buy the Moto X.

Battery is my number one requirement in a phone, it should last at least a day with power usage.
Note 4 is still at the top of my list for its SD card slot, removable (large) battery, best screen on the market, s-pen and size (sweet spot for me). This Nexus would be number 2 if the battery is decent but lacking an SD card slot is a major no no unless it comes with a lot of onboard storage.
And I here all this complaining about the lack of an 808/810 SoC, but do people honestly think we're going to see it taken advantage of soon? Even though Android L will be launching I am very doubtful it would be worth waiting unless you're waiting a year. I'll enjoy my device much sooner then that.
The hope for a lot of Nexus fans who are not that much into Phablets is that there will also be a 5.2" screen Nexus phone since a lot of rumors point to a 5.9" screen Nexus Phablet. The hope is there wil be a 5.2"-5.3" Nexus device that will satisfy non Phablet fans.
But if we only get a 5.9" screen device, i will get it if it comes with a monster battery, 64GB storage option, and minimal bezels. The key for me is Battery battery battery and ampule storage...tired of Nexus with meager battery life and running out of memory all the time...yes looking at u N4 & N5.
Just because it's called nexus 6 it doesn't mean they have to make it nearly 6inches big. Both nexus 6(moto) and nexus 9 (htc) could be flops. Moto never made a phablet and HTC doesn't make tablets - surely a recipe for disaster?
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2014Samsung copied iphone 6+ size and they are calling it as note 4. Now motorola is also copying.:-D are u out of mind ?
why so big??? it-s a tablet,man , i would buy a phone wih max 5.2 inch
don't like very big, i was waiting for Nexus 6 but very disappointed to see the screen size , max 5 inch.
hope they will launch Nexus Mini also with same specification
why so big phone. it wont even fit on most people's hands. 5.5 inch is the limit.
I need nexus 6 to live! IPhone 6 is for people who want to have a bent phone.
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2014Good ole Nexus 5 with a larger battery would have been better.Nexus 5 is old now. Nexus 6 is the best!
