saurabh shrestha, 04 Oct 2014Is this some Joke...Nothing comes close to Nokia phones when it comes to Photography.Different people have different choices and your choice is respected. But then, are you looking at phone for Camera or all other things that it brings in?
For example there are far less apps for windows phone than Android phone.
There are more security updates (and hence better security) than windows phones.
Most people use their phones for Social networking and thus you may be right in a way that it is a phone that takes great pictures and you can put them on social network. But then there are people who see a phone lot differently than you and they see the different things the phone brings in than purely Camera.
So its just matter of priority
x3mer, 04 Oct 2014they could be $3 as far as i'm concerned, still wouldn't switch to windows. If laggy and ios is are free I won't consider it because both OS does not support YouTube video downloader. Even google store doesn't have YouTube downloader its a shame.
Even if they give free now I don't take it.
X, 04 Oct 2014I'm sorry to break your heart but the iPhone 6 takes better photos than Lumia 1020. Don't beli... moreAnd @Baba
I think that some iPhone owners live in this detached world where Tim Cook presentations is like a well established law of physics, so having accepted this as fact post this opinion on a mobile phone website where phones are individually tested and a comprehensive report published
From 6th to first with all flagships upping their specs except Apple (the FOURTH YEAR 8MP!) yeah right
The price cut could be the Lumia 930 is the flagship with remaining stock Lumia 1020 being sold off is the reason for the price cut
The Lumia 820 and now Lumia 830 are the lieutenant to the flagships these offer both removable battery and memory expansion which the Flagship Lumia do not
Fyi the Lumia 830 will have a better review to the iPhone6 which you should both read, as more negatives than positive is NOT complimentary ok
X, 04 Oct 2014I'm sorry to break your heart but the iPhone 6 takes better photos than Lumia 1020. Don't beli... moreSorry to beak your hart but Lumia is a fer more advanced camre that takes far mor superior images. (and Yes I own a 1020). If you look to the same pictures you mention, look als at sharpness and noise (and be fair, scale all images to for eg 12MP) then wou will see that the images are way better on the Lumia. I don't have that many pictures taken with my camera for which the color balance is off but even it if happens this is something easy to postprocess (sharpness and noise is almost not correctable). Then you have also full control over the camera and you get the possibility to take pictures in RAW. Add on top of that the superior Xenon flash and dedicated shutter button and that makes the camera stand out of the rest of the bunch. Granted the Iphone is faster and is probably better in video than the 1020 but purely image quality on still pictures the 1020 wins with a giant leap
Dude...go check yourself...first,use a Nokia 1020 and than speak.
You have no idea what the 1020 is capable off
i had a look at this phone when it came out and the only thing i like about it was the camera. i would never buy a phone just for 1 interesting feature and plus Sony Xperia range takes much better pictures at 20MP
they could be $3 as far as i'm concerned, still wouldn't switch to windows.

Padmasana, 04 Oct 2014With an exiled brand, expect this to be a double slash. How can Microsoft used the Nokia name when Nokia still exist as a separate company? Microsoft didn't acquire Nokia. They just bought the cell phone division. Use some common sense. it's better to change the name now than later when the Microsoft Nokia agreement for use of name "Nokia" Brand name expires
I would switch to lumias immediatly, but battery life in all of them is rather weak (except 1520)
I'm sorry to break your heart but the iPhone 6 takes better photos than Lumia 1020. Don't believe me? Go to the compare tool here and check the color poster, the white boat in the upper right corner. On the iPhone 6 photo the boat is as in the source photo, while the 1020's photo has a bluish tint to it. Also the color of the faces and the blue sky is more accurate on the iPhone 6's photo. Also on the other posters the color is off from the source by quite a lot for the 1020, while for the iPhone 6 is practically the same as the original.
MdN8, 04 Oct 2014"Not much people like to keep on adjusting this and that."
So? Some of us do, there... moreWell, some of us don't like taking shots with the flash much, period. Even the Xenon flash is still a cheap phone flash, not a strobe light.
The 1020 has a very nice camera, but the iPhone 6 Plus's camera is better overall. Go to the comparison tool and compare the white balance of the two, as well as the skin tones, the greens and the yellows.
