Anonymous, 07 Oct 2014Exactly, I have no idea why Android fanboys simply cannot accept the existence and acceptance ... moreNot sure why you are referring to Android fans in general, because most of the Android fans I know (including myself) are very tolerant towards all other platforms. I don't even have anything bad to say about iStuff -- I absolutely despise the company, but if their products have their fanbase, I have no problem with that. I love BB. I used to have BBs for work for years(went through several models), and when I lost my Bold 9900, I was supposed to get an iPhone, since our company moved away from BBs. I was able to get an Android instead (lucky me!), but I would still take a BB for business use any day. I would be delighted if BB manages to turn things around and return to the market as a big player.
Anonymous, 07 Oct 2014It has already made a splash. It sold 200,000 over two days.

Don't go to the Classic, and don't go to another Android or iPhone. If you are a Blackberry fan, or if you are looking for a QWERTY - this is your phone. I had a few Blackberrys and the original Bold some years ago, and then I went with a Droid, then a Droid 2, then a Droid 4. I have been anxiously awaiting this phone since it was leaked a few months ago. I bought one unlocked the day it was released and moved my number from Verizon to AT&T - I was THAT excited. And I have not been disappointed - this phone delivers on all fronts. Whether it is the touch sensitive keyboard (there's your trackpad) or the large screen (that always seems to be the perfect size for whatever you are viewing) or the Blackberry Assistant - this phone has not missed a beat since I took it out of the box. I couldn't be happier, and I think everyone who used to be addicted to Blackberry but went to an Android or iPhone needs to try the Passport out. It's a pure Blackberry, but smarter. Love it!
Anonymous, 07 Oct 2014I'm gonna skip this and take a look at the BB classic. I like having the trackpad All the keys in the keypad acts like a track pad
The Blackberry Passport has a trackpad. Or I guess a track keyboard since the entire keyboard acts as a trackpad too.

Might not look like much compared to some Android flagships or iPhone, but those are promising numbers for Blackberry.
Provides some momentum for them, and if they can keep it up, while cutting back on unnecessary costs, they might go back to profitability.
Blackberry has its hardcore fans.
Build quality looks promising but it is over priced and alternatives in the markets are more alluring. I doubt it will make a splash!

The Porsche version of this will probably drive the Middle East market wild. It's hugely popular there.
[deleted post]Do you think the whole world should have only Android? Poor Fanboy. People should have choices of OS to select. I hate the comments "Should adopt Android". Sony, HTC,LG have adopted Android. Did they succeed?
I have no idea why, but I just love the BB Passport, something so outrageous and cray about it.
Had trauma of using BB, get used to loading and laging. But I admit this one called Passport is look awesome. Maybe later, now I'm enjoying my WP :P
Mhelz, 07 Oct 2014"BlackBerry is dead" comments are coming... "BlackBerry10 the very fast and ... moreMy Blackberry z10 just flipped over and died. lol I was using it one minute and the next minute it just stopped working. I purchased it brand new from the Blackberry website. I tried everything to get it to work, but it wouldn't turn on. I send it back to the company and they gave me a refund. I still like Blackberry though. Might get the z30 this time. :-)
