Go to http://dpi.lv , enter in 1440 x 2392, 4.99". You will see 560 pixels per inch, which is explained to be the same as dpi in the context of screens.
5"inch screen.. 5.9" to assume the diagonal corner-to-corner length of the phone itself.. that ENDS this discussion, read facts guys..
I sure hope this isn't the only phone they release. I might have to exit the Nexus program after buying a total of 6 phones for myself and my wife.
I will buy it if it will be less than 5.2 inches ! and i hope the display is AMOLED !
If I have to buy a phone with big screen it has to be GALAXY NOTE 4 SOMETHING WITH A MAGIC WAND! Not just a big screen....
looking at the DPI (560) and measurements (1440x2392) i would say this is a 5 inch screen isnt it ?
It is 4.95 inch from calculation:
put follwing data into dpi calculator:http://pxcalc.com/
size of scree:4.95
results will be:
1080p on a 5in screen is already overkilled
qHD on 5in screen is just nonsense and waste of battery life
I would like a nexus with 5in screen with 720p
805 can't even use the 64bit version of Android L and ARMv8 instructions. Obsolete software from a Nexus device out of the gate?
Fragmentation at its finest.
AnonD-171857, 09 Oct 2014Not ugly, THE bestNexus 5.9 inch - mini Tablet (NOT PHABLET,5.5-5.7 inch like NOTE 4, LG G3..etc..)
Shame Google because destroy Nexus.
wow, 09 Oct 2014and you've just shown the world what a total noob you are: dpi=ppi. one is dots per inch and t... moreDPI is an android UI rendering setting. It has nothing to do with the display, CPU-Z has no way of knowing how large the display physically is and could not possibly calculate the PPI.
RADD, 09 Oct 2014Can someone explain why GSM arena mentions a dpi of 496 while the image shows a dpi of 560?You're confusing dpi with ppi
i use a website called "dpi.lv" and insert screen resolution (1440x2392) and dpi (560). I get screen size 4.99.
If you look in images leaked above ppi of 560 for 1440*2392 resolution screen size comes to exact 5 inches.
Hope google comes with 5 inch screen. :)
