Yes dpi has nothing to do with ppi. (dpi determines how UI is rendered and has nothing to do with hardware)And I don't think that people wanting a large phablet are in a minority. Look at how iphone 6+ is selling. Once you start using a larger screen you can't go back to a smaller one. Larger screens are welcome in my opinion.
all geniuses should take a look at the leaked image again. its freaking DPI not PPI. dots per inch is not same as pixels per inch.
Hmm interesting, did someone noticed kernel version? Its 3.10 not 3.4
This doesn´t make sense for me. people should decide phone or phablet! "RED CARD"
This display size according to these benchmark details doesnt come up as 5.9 inch (if its 560 ppi). The Note 4 has a similar screen resolution and at 5.7", its ppi is 515. How can Shamu stand at 560ppi with 5.9" and similar resolution? Correct me if I am wrong guys.
According to the photos, the screen has a res of 2392x1440 and 560 ppi density.
At the same time, the G3 has a 2560x1440 res with a 534 ppi density and a 5.5" screen.
If the photos are legit and you do the proper math, than it means that the new Nexus 6 will have ~5 inch screen (4.98" more precisely).
if this phone truly ends up being 6inch then it won't sell aswell as nexus 4 and nexus 5 did, as the 6 inch size will put a lot of people off because its way too big for most people. Yes, there are some people that think its not big, but I would strongly assume they are in the minority.
Make this 6.5" device and it will really sell, I have the 6.4" Sony Z Ultra and it's not big at all, also fits in the pocket very easily, 5.2" devies should be banned altogether they are useless, 5.92 is acceptable but should still be larger.
Why is everyone saying 5.9 inches is too big. Is it large? Yes. But there are people who actually want a larger display. People are still picturing these devices as phones that do "other tasks" when in reality these are pocket pc's which do calls.
And I doubt it will be much larger than the Note 4.
Still no proof it is a 5.9" device and still no proof this is a nexus device in the first place. It looks more and more like another Motorola flagship for the worldwide market, unlike Moto X series.
6" display? This would be the first Nexus I will be skipping then. Will be waiting for 5" 810 devices instead.
For me new Moto X is Nexus 6 bcz 6 inch phone makes no sense. For tasks that need big screen, there is iPad.
