But since... morenah, not even Nokia fans would buy it for that price if it were Nokia... btw, I am a Nokia fan :-) but I also use Samsung (Omnia i900)...
Pixon12 is not a luxury phone, so its value will drop dramatically in a short amount of time... if I'd spend that amount of money on a phone I would expect it to have the same value in a year, or even raise its value due to its exclusivity... but this one will just loose value, drop, drop and drop...
all those phones keep pushing each other to new limits, raise MP, raise the sice of the screen, raise GB - every month there's a new top-of-all product and all the others loose value...

Samsung - don't fool us by just increasing the countings of megapixel. Publis have become smart and they know that a good 5 MP can be much better than a 12MP camera. Plus D1 recording at 30fps is also a marketing gimmick. The smoothness of 30fps is never seen in most of the samsung mobiles. Better watch out or the samsung loyalist will change gears to some other company( read LG).Moreover th epricing of Pixon 12 is a joke. Let it come in the market and let the experts do the review and the price will come down in just a month or so.

Why 12 Mpx Phone?? Whats the use of it?? I have seen N82 5 Mpx and I thought this is it but then 8 Mpx and Nw 12 Mpx........Whats the use of this phone??? After N95 just day after day another Mpx Race dats it and ppl call it innovation??? What is iPhone and its OS, Google Android, Symbian Open Source OS then?? Satio is way better than this because of an Symbian OS which brings it to smartphone Category and like P800, p990 series its worth 2 wait for.............wen will dis stupid Mpx race end and smethng else is developed for a Phone??? Wat r standalone cameras for?? My Sony W110 DSC 7 Mpx gets the job done and I expect phones to provide occasional shooting only I seriously think 5 Mpx is enough.....but 12 Mpx?? And I still don't like d way samsung price their handsets......In India Samsung Ultra Touch S8300 retails for Rs. 25,000 (514$) and no wi fi no smart phone capabilities.....Wich Category of Consumers r samsung targeting???

You are wrong, Sony has a 24.6MP full resolution DSLR camera. It's called the a900.

Not practical with the tagged price. With the built in xenon and higher CPU, battery should be better than what is on the specs. The OS is not competitive with Symbian or OSX, or Android as well.

Ouch! 639 Euro = £542. That is super steap man. Yeah you got a xenon flash, cool AMOLED screen and 12mp's, but I can get a very high spec new laptop for that money;(

The only issue now is that i recognize you signature IP and you are one hardcore Apple user over on iPhone comment forums and i very much doubt that you are even a phone retailer, edit, i know you are not. You are just a Apple fan boy that couldn't accept the truth in the clip i linked to further down.

what the hell is that price, this phone is not a smart phone, where the hell they get that 630 euro, its a simple phone with not too much features only a 12MP, who cares about the quality of image, were you can buy camera below 500euro...
samsung you made a wrong turn this time,
also try be like nokia and lg and sony...
nokia is always making phones for everyone(its affordable), they know the balance of business & Multimedia...
while lg knows how to capture everyones needs with its cheap phones...
and SE dont release too many phones for nothing, they know how to WOW us in their new phones(still its expensive)....
samsung remember you Omnia family, just be with the HD its cool than the others...

[deleted post]A lot of people I sell E71's to come back with software problems, freezing, poor camera quality with green and purple fringing and a few other issues like wiping the contacts etc apart from that they aren't too bad although the screen is very small.
Of course it's a totally different class of phone to this which is a camera phone.
It looks like this will be another first for Samsung, first 12 megapixel phone to market.
