[deleted post]You can solve that problem if you root the phone...Or maybe installing a custom rom.Roms like Paranoid has permission settings which let you manage connections.

I don't understand what all the hair-pulling is all about. I have a Xperia ZR LTE, and while I'm thankful that I'll get the update to L, it's not the reason I bought this phone. I bought this phone because I liked the specs it came with at the price point that I thought was reasonable. It works the way I want it to, and I'm happy with its performance from the day I brought it home. I still haven't updated to Kitkat at all, because I don't feel the need to keep messing around with what's already working for me. So what if your phone isn't getting the update? Isn't it working fine? Did you buy it because of the update? No, you bought it because you like how it looks, how it feels in your hand, how it works, etc. It doesn't have anything to do with the updates, that's just a bonus. So please stop anguishing over it. I, for one, won't be too bothered if Android L never comes around for the ZR, because the update doesn't make my phone any less the phone I wanted and bought, and I'll keep using it until the time I want to buy a new phone for new features and specs, with or without updates.

My Xperia Arc S runs better now (with KK via LegaxyXperia CM11) than it ever did with GB -- and it supports loads of new features too!
Keep in mind this is a phone that is, by all means, an archaeological finding in todays day and age.

I'm happy with my Xperia ZL which I bought from launch. Now it is with Android 4.4.4 which is great. Nice and smooth. Now there is going to be a newer update :)
Looks like I will be keeping this phone for a while. It's really reliable. I will probably upgrade when Z4 is released.
Sony is the best mobile company
in the world I love xperia
sorry but I think few people are taking my opinion very personal! never said sony makes cheap phone its there after sale support and false promise that's screwing up! I don't see any logic that only the flagship phones should receive consistent updates until unless the phone is capable! moto g first generation is not a flagship for sure but it is about to receive the lollipop update as well the entry level moto e!!!. I'm not part of any competitors I work for application support which is not associated to mobile platform and yes I'm using sony phones since K700i days
So much for lollypop. I made the mistake of upgrading my OS for Xperia ZL from Jellybean to Kitikat. There have been two releases of Kitkat so far, 4.4.2 and 4.4.4. Both are buggy and have heavy battery drain issues which can be seen in any Xperia forum. Thisissue is there for so many months now, but no solution. I wont risk a sony phone again.

It may or not depebding on sonys oarticular decision what handsets get Android L they have prioritised Z3. Z2 AS they are newest of the Z family and from therecon 1year + devices
Please make update which allows apps.transfer to sd card.....
Logic is when you sell high price stuff the after sales service should be mandatory good but apparently that's not the case for this manufacturer...
AnonD-320932, 17 Oct 2014What makes you thunk sony will be diminished http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_foresees_12_billion_loss_from_its_smartphone_business-news-9670.php
@ xyz , sks9500 and darkraver
Just my opinion guys! Please chill. But I did feel very bad when sony suddenly canceled Kitkat update for my SP
We can’t fight over this! Any way we have to pay OUR hard earned money to buy the phone within our possible range at least for me and SP costed nearly 20K INR and it aint cheap !
Thanks !
DO NOT TRUST SONY!¡ they are liars. They will leave your device without updates after a few months. Take this from an Xperia user
Kiran_Ashok, 17 Oct 2014Don’t fall for this folks! Sony will soon diminish from phone business very soon. They will n... moresp is mid range foo!
