Update the flagships and forget about the bread and butter of your revenues, i.e the midrange category...that's how loses of 1.2 billion are made. Good luck Sony, I will never buy any of your products again
Ps, SP user screwed out of kikkat and lollipop
Excuse me Sony... but what about last year's devices?? some of them are stuck on jellybean!!!!
Yeah but get an update like 8 months after the OS is release on the nexus line ups?? Nothing great.
AnonD-43136, 16 Oct 2014Watch them change their mind about xperia Z, zl and zr. Sony have a past record of not keeping... moreI doubt too that the 1st gen z series will get it, knowing SONY's past records of releasing updates.

Get a cheap phone and do not expect to see more updates.
Buy a flagship phone.
expect Z3 to get it in 3 months, Z2 in 5 months, Z1 and Z in one year. taje it from my experience with sony
Cheap marketing strategy by SONY.They did the same with Xperia SP.Promised Xperia SP with a kitkat update and then kept mum till the end of its support period and ultimately ended its support. No doubt SONY is loosing money. And i pray God they continue to loose money.
AnonD-43136, 16 Oct 2014Watch them change their mind about xperia Z, zl and zr. Sony have a past record of not keeping... moreMaybe but keep in mind that those 3 devices are almost identical, Z vs ZL is only adding IR, Z vs ZR is only reduced display resolution and internal storage. They virtually need only one update for 3 phones, then why not do it. SEMC did the same with their 2011 line-up, since everything from the Xperia Mini and LWW and up to the top had the same chipset it was too easy to update them all at once, only those with ARM11 based processors/smaller RAM wasnt updated (like W8 and whatever) to ICS.
