About a third of my friends have jumped to the iPhone 6 from Android.
I know it's anecdotal evidence, but it dovetails with this report.
The iPhone 6+ is the best phone I have had, ever. I don't think I can oversell how good the fingerprint sensor is and I am in owe of how well the Apple Pay works.
Android, 21 Oct 2014It's late and I guess it was time for a bed time story.

"Judging by the raw performance in the benchmarks and the snappier than ever user experience with the iOS 8 and its app, the new iPhone 6 is a flagship device in every way - beating everything the competition has to offer. Hopefully you didn't bet money on the opposite."

Android, 21 Oct 2014It's late and I guess it was time for a bed time story.
Android standaloneone "Anti ... moreActually the "mm-qcamera-daemon" bug is not caused by a virus. It's a bug in Android 4.4.2. What happens is that some apps like WhatsApp and Skype access the camera, and don't close properly, leaving the camera basically on. And this of course drains the battery.
But his claims are still kinda hard to believe, because I also noticed the bug on my phone, and after a restart it went away. (just a normal restart, no restore to factory).
Also it's hard to believe that you lost half the value of the S5 at resale, considering it's practically brand new. Where I live, i've seen used Galaxy S3 being sold at about 70-75% it's market value.
AnonD-110373, 21 Oct 2014Well Androids Sell 1.2 mil / Day, its needless to compare if its just the numbers. Are you serious? Even counterfeit smartphones have android. Does this really count? Allot of people use cheap androids and even androids from OEM's poped-up like mushrooms after rain, ready for a quick buck that are more dangerous then fake China perfumes. We are talking about one OEM here and sadly, as much as i don't like crapple. Apparently allot of people do. Sadly they do cause is expensive, not cause is more usefull or superior to some true oem's out there (cause, really isn't). This sheep mentality beats me, but to compare 3 billion androids sale with one crapple is kind of dung;).
No they wont
Hi,
halo This confused or ducks, why The is iPhones flawed, ? and NO FM-Radio.
Gosh, Samsung are now eating their plastic, that Apple outsell them with only 2 phones rofl.
Probably they have failed to copy the bending feature and port it over to N4, with a name if smth like S-Bend/Flex....
This sounds awesome - too bad- that the global mobile market expands about 40-50% every year, so last year's 51 million should go up to around 70-75 million units sold just to keep the current market share. Obviously they will fail to meet this number which is in accordance to their continous market share shrinking. Apple is slowly losing ground - although its nice to say that "we sold more units than last year...."
Fatso, 21 Oct 2014Ordinary buyers are not worried about your geekish view. While you are busy typing here people... morewhoa, back up a minute there sparky...affordable? what world are you living in?? iphones are far from affordable from a solidarity standpoint of outright purchase and on contracts - regardless of memory size!
on the pay monthly side, its almost (here anyway) £50 - £60 per month with no up front cost on the device - and thats the 16gb model of the 6, the 6 plus has a price tag on all contracts!
however, if you are taking into accountability for previous iterations of the iphone, then these are more affordable to consumers who just want an iphone for having an iphone's sake, then it can be had from around £26 and above. and to further my point, each iphone costs between $100 to $200 to manufacture, so everything after that is essentially 100%+ of profit to the company.
example = iphone 5 costs approx $150 to manufacture, apple sells said device for approx $550.00 =
150 manufacturing
150 initial to recoup cost = break even
remaining $250 profit
= 170% approx profit
so in thine eyes its affordable for the company, not a person. I mean a mobile (cell)phone is the second biggest purchase that any individual person will make in a single financial year next to a car or a home....
end rant
Seriously why every AppleFanboy thinks that Android is all about Rooting and searching for new customs roms all the time... its an OS that give you options when needed.
its about choices.. dont like Samsung buy HTC or Sony dont like those compaines buy different company, price is too high buy mid range phone that suits you... i bet a lot of Apple users thought that : yes i dont like how the IOS looks like i want to change it but i cant and whoever said he doesnt is just a lousy liar.
folks
yes iphone is expensive, but next year when the new one arrive you can sell yours for a premium. this thing you cannot do it with other phones. if you have a samsung and want to upgrade you have to through it in the trash, so in the long term iphone is cheaper.

While you are busy typing here people are queueing for the iphone. It is not overpriced, that is why it is the most popular individual phone brand in the world. It is affordable! People are not worried about rooting, external storage, customization, sideloading apps, bluetooth transfer or USB OTG. A uniform platform that easy to use out of the box is evn why yesteryear Nokia was popular. Simplicity is key in any device.

It's unbelievable how many people still are there, willing to pay a premium for the device that doesn't even allow you to differentiate volume levels for calls and an alarm clock. I do find the iPhone a quite good device but the price is not adequate to its capabilities.
