Samsung’s devices are nefarious for taking so long to update and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is no exception. The T-Mobile-branded variant of the device will be receiving an OTA next week that will update the phone to Android Nougat. The update brings efficiency enhancements, a revamped UI, and some aesthetic differences.

T-Mobile’s product manager, Des - known for doing his crazy unboxings - has tweeted that engineers have approved the update and will begin seeding the OTA “early next week”. It’s about time, considering that Google I/O is right around the corner where Google will announce Android O and its features. It just never ends.
To be fair t-mobile has nothing to do with the updates. It's the Android ecosystem itself to blame. That's the number #1 reason why I don't like Android. It takes months, sometimes years, to update, and sometimes never update at all.
