The Realme 3 Pro is finally official, but the announcement saw another device making a debut - the Realme C2. The phone is advertised as an affordable handset, but brings some midrange features that could disrupt the low-end market. Realme C2 brings a 12 nm Helio P22 chipset to the game for the price of INR5,999 or just $85/€76.
The screen is 6.1” with HD resolution and a waterdrop notch. The chip is coupled with 2/16 GB and 3/32 GB memory combinations, but at least there is a microSD slot for more storage, making company to the two SIM cards, all lined up in one tray. The main camera is the same as on the Realme C1 (2019) - 13 MP + 2 MP on the back, 5 MP front-facing shooter on the front.
Since this phone is a 2019 device, it comes with Color OS 6.0, based on Android Pie. It has Chroma Boost and some basic slow-mo - 80 fps at 480p. The C2’s user interface will be without ads, which is a clear dab towards Xiaomi and its ad-infused MIUI.
The phone will be offered in Diamond Blue and Diamond Black colors. It will arrive at Flipkart on May 15, with the low price for the 2/16 GB, while the 3/32 GB variant is priced at INR7,999 ($115/€103). There are benefits worth INR5,300, making the phone “practically free”, according to Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India.
Because Mediatek. C2 comes with Pie, and I'm certain it won't be updated beyond it.
