Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K30 with 5G back in December, but the phone didn’t arrive for a flash sale up until January 7. Fast-forward to today and the phone is finally on open sale - it can be purchased in all colors and most memory options from plenty of online stores and retailers, including Xiaomi’s own website.
The cheapest version has 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and costs just CNY1,999 ($285/€255), but it is available only in Blue. The true color explosion happens at the next tier - the 6/128 GB variant can be purchased in Blue, Purple, White, and Red, for CNY2,299($325/€295).
If you want 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, you have to set aside CNY2,599($370/€335) and be willing to live without the White color option. We are still waiting to see whether the 8/256 GB option, announced at the launch, will appear on the official retail channels.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 765G with an integrated Snapdragon X52 modem. The screen is LCD with a 6.67” diagonal, Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Other specs include a 64 MP main shooter on the back, huge 4,500 mAh battery with 30W fast-charging and Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box.
