Another day, another vivo phone launch. This time it will be called vivo iQOO U1x and it has already been listed on JD.com two days before its arrival on October 21. The listing reveals it will have a Snapdragon 662 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery, and up to 128GB of storage.
The phone is also up on TMall with its price tag - it will start from CNY899, which is about $135/€115.
The vivo iQOO U1x has appeared in TENAA's database back in September. Thanks to the certification and the multiple retailer listings, we can finally put 2 and 2 together to get a comprehensive specs sheet. The chipset will be accompanied by three memory combinations 4/64 GB, 6/64 GB, and 6/128 GB.
On the front, we have a 6.52” LCD and HD+ resolution, pushing the fingerprint scanner to the right side, under the power key. The back panel hosts a triple camera setup that borrowed the design from the vivo V20 SE but brings a rather basic combination of a 13MP main shooter alongside two 2MP auxiliary sensors.
The phone will launch in two colors - Black and White and will be available first in China. It might remain confined at home but vivo is a company that always has a surprise up its sleeve so we could see the iQOO U1x appear outside to bring even more color to the already highly saturated entry-level smartphone market.
Vivo has wild ideas for the phones. Though, this one may go down as a failure because of the processor.
These companies have issues Constantly churning out the same phone with the same specs over and over
And they have got the worst chipset to launch the smartphone. Use at least good Mediatek chipsets in the smartphone.
