Luke, 23 Apr 2018I am thinking to buy a Nokia 1100 (used) again. Is it a bad idea? Of course I would be usin... moreThe 1100 is worse (in feature spec) than the 105 but if you just want it just for calling and texting, it's not bad at all for that purpose. I'm not so sure the 1100 has a backlight, so you might have to watch out for that.

Of course I would be using this cell for just for calls and texts. I do own a 105 though but I am not happy with that handset.
Any comment?
Great old classic!!
I had one and it got wet from the washing machine XD, I dried it with a hair blower and it worked normally again.

love my nokia 1100. Bu does anyone know the no. of bands it has. ie I bought in uk, can I use in new zealand? thanks

Outstanding, I bought one of these when they first came out (cost me one penny - network offer), and it's still going, three new batteries later.
The monochrome screen stays visible as long as the phone is switched on, only the backlight turns off, so you don't need to pick it up to check if you missed anything - a quick glance will suffice !
The 1100 doesn't require you to lug around a charger (or "portable charge pak"), because unlike most modern phones, it'll keep going for two weeks between charges, rather than a day. Progress is only progress if it works in your favour, eh ? ;-)
It's a phone, and only a phone - just as it should be !! Leave all the other notifications, emails etc. on your PC, where they belong...
Interestingly, this phone was, at the time, the highest selling electronic device ever !
Bow down in front of the bestselling mobile phone ever...
