Bomb proof phone! Gets a signal where others fail. You can drive a tank over this phone without a scratch. No-nonsense, reliable, cheap and the battery seems to last forever. Keep your iphones etc. all those apps and stuff are for kids or people without a life. PS The torch is a really good little feature too!
kpg, 09 Aug 2012Nokia is the toughest in the cell phone world. Bought iPhone. From second day, unavoidable... moreYeah agreed!!!! i baptized my nokia 1100 probably 10 times before slamming it against the wall for about 15-20 times...it still worked perfect...nokia is a tough phone...
One of the most reliable phones i have ever had. My galaxy gio didn't want to call, kept trying some error, i was screwed cause the sun had gone down and i needed to be picked up, luckily i remembered my spare nokia was in my bag, haven't used it in 6 months, and it called no problems!
great little phone, no frills, keys are a bit small but you get used to it. how do I lock the keys so it does n't dial whilst its in my pocket?

Nokia is the toughest in the cell phone world.
From second day, unavoidable noise during call...cant hear anything during call....
after 1 month, display gone.....
Nokia, after 4 years...still works...threw on the wall while I was angry ...uncountable times...most of the times i get angry....it got into bucket full of water....still it works good..
Note: I never threw iPhone...took care of it like a baby... :)
If you are an adventurous and off-road person, get Nokia
Had this as a spare phone when I had my N73, and I still say Nokia make the best "basic" phones - even their qwerty and touch screen phones are top notch.
