Anonymous, 28 Sep 2009Hi everyone/anyone, Can you please tell me how to increase the in-coming call volume on this phone? As you are speaking with someone, if you press up key then you can increase it......
Its a fantastic phone. the body is very hard and it is very to use.i am very happy to use this superb phone.
this phone is very strong and durable phone. i think only this phone allows you to set a message to be sent in a specified time and you can set speed dials for messaging not for calling alone. keypad is ideal from messaging. you can turn on and off the screen lights.
Batteries can last up to 2 days.
negatives: small screen
overview: there are more positive than negative points
Is it possible to convert a 1208 phone to this 1209? I've seen someone selling a 1208 and he/she said it's converted to 1209
it also has got 4MB. the only drawback is that the screen is too small, the keypad is not much good for messaging, else the set is brilliant
Can you please tell me how to increase the in-coming call volume on this phone?
The 1209 is a pretty decent (and mind you classy-looking) entry level phone from Nokia - and it works just great! :) One thing people rant about is that it is basically the 1208 with a different front cover. And yes- they're basically right. The casing used is made of hard plastic and has smoothed edges for that more premium look. That was what they had in mind when they made the phone anyway; an entry level phone with a bit of class. Of course, like it's cousins the 1200 and 1208, the phone uses the same software (I forgot how they call it) albeit the display screen is a little better than that of the 1208 (dont ask me how, as that is what the box says). Overall, people seeking a good everyday phone with a bit of good looks should opt for this one - it has talktime and reception quality on par with most entry level Nokia phones but with an additional bit of style. :)
deepak, 09 Sep 2009i dont know about this phone can i buy it pls tell me it was a good or bad phone pls replyhi, what do u mean by whether this is a good/bad mobile? it depends on what u want. whatever it claims in manual, it does well. u will not be disappointed if u wanted basic features & a reliable set.
Hello there!!! Can anyone tell me how much this phone have internal memory? Nika 1208 have 4MB but how much have this Nokia 1209?
i dont know about this phone can i buy it pls tell me it was a good or bad phone pls reply
my problem in this is that it restarts automatically and hangs sometimes..
I have more things to add regarding 1209-
I changed my sim yesterday to new tata docomo sim 64K.Once i started using it outgoing messages started hanging again and again. I had to switch my phone off many times and reboot to make it work again. Then i got bugged with it and took it to nokia care. They said software problem and reloaded the software, but same thing happened again. Then as a last attempt i tried putting my airtel sim in that. This solved the problem. as of now i have sent multiple messages without problems. So anybody who is planning to use Tata Docomo 64K sim on this phone, please be prepared for nasty surprises.
I have a new problem with my 1209. when i type an sms message and try sending it, phone shows a message "wait.." and a horizontal bar with progress line moving to and fro. i had to switch off my mobile and restart it. then it was ok. anybody else facing same problems? whats the solution?
I am very hopeful about this set as-
I was using a Nokia1600 before this,it had very good battery, fantastic signal reception in poor network areas, simple and fast interface and was sturdy. It didnt die but i sold it as i got bored with it and for lack of proper calender, just to realise later that i had made a mistake.A motorola flip fone i got after 1600 had lesser battery life and sluggish messaging. a samsung had nice battery but amazingly no reminders on that fone. I needed it. a sony ericsson set had marginally poorer signal reception and poorer battery. When i started searching for my beloved 1600, nokia had stopped marketing it. Now i see that this phone has same interface. I hope though its bit thicker, it has same excellent signal reception abilities and very good battery (calender there now).
