then this phone is perfect for me. its cheap, has calendar, calculator, radio and torch. everything i need in a phone. i just wish it could be released sooner in southeast asia...
A very good mobile for 25 usd. I have a black one. But the nokia tune is very small.
I just got my black 1280 today @ 26USD. Everything works fine. You can minimize the voice leakage problem by placing your index finger, during calls, on the 3 holes of the loudspeaker on the back. The key has good feedback, better than 1200 and 1202. Wire of the charger provided in the box is shorter than the previous ones of the same type. This might be one of the cost-cutting measures of Nokia. Overall, this is a great device for its price.
Anonymous, 22 May 2010now only black color is available! good onein which country??
Does anyone of you having problem with the signal, I mean after I lost a signal and regain the phone can't pick up signal :)
may be nokia will use the soccer world cup for the advertising of its cheapest phone ever .
the profit margins are going to be low for this phone so the sales have to be large and what better way to promote it then to advertise it during the football worldcup considering a huge chunk of the customers are going to be the college goers in india , malasia ,europe and pakistan etc .
i think it ll be launched in june ... wt say fellas?
human, 16 May 2010how about the keypad friend... and like to know about the user interface and battery backup too...Keypaid of N1280 are rather hard to press and need the time to get used with it. The interface is the same N1202 but one thing i like is that the display show both name, icon and number of the caller together in case of a in-coming call which only appear at high-level Nokia phones. Regarding to the battery, i bought one week a go (10 of May) leaved 24/24h, make some calls, battery still remains 3 lines. I suppose that its stand-by time are about 12-14 days. It is a good battery!
