I specified Serial Cable and a COM Port (3) in Nokia PC Suite, as advised. The problem came when I tried to connect. PC Suite completed step 3/4 and gave me an error message:
Someone suggested that I needed to select Settings>Connectivity>USB Data Cable>PC Suite from my handheld but my options were Settings>Connectivity>-acket Data/Data Transfer. That proved another dead-end.
Has anyone actually transferred something important like Contacts from Outlook to a 1680 Classic? If so, please say how (baby steps, please; I'm not stupid but I was born the wrong side of the 50s).
Would really be grateful if this would work.
PS Use Lebara Mobile PAYG Mobile, if that makes any difference

Not a good phone!! If a number is save with (+63), sender's name on text will appear, but on calls, no caller's name. if save only with 0917_______. caller's name will appear when calling but no sender's name on text message. Strange phone!!!

The design is cool but the device does not have alot of features. My friend called munguti bought it after i adviced him not to.I think you guys need to try out the new nokia 5130.
