I have been using a Nokia 2 as my main phone for 5 weeks now and am impressed with it's overall build and performance.
I bought it mainly because of the stated battery life as my Redmi Note 3 which also has a 4000Ma battery could not last through a full day of on the road GPS, calls, email and news browsing. The Nokia 2 has given me minimum 14 hours of uptime with all the above and WiFi on continuously.
The build quality is impressive, the phone has a cold and heavy feel and the screen is bright and clear even in sunlight. It does not pickup fingerprints and smudges like my Redmi Note and it is very smooth and responsive.
Performance is not super fast but it is adequate and I run basic games with no problems. It has never lost a WiFi signal while playing online games such as WGT golf and GPS has never dropped once.
Updates have been regular so far with 2 large updates within the last 5 weeks. Hopefully the promised move to Oreo will improve performance slightly.
If you need a phone that lasts a full day then there are not many alternatives. Rather have reduced performance but a phone that is still working after 12 hours on the road than a dead super performing phone.
In my opinion those who are considering getting Nokia 2 or any other low end and even mid range android based mobile devices for financial reasons they should instead consider getting old used flagships or unused ones with a bit of luck.
Do your own research to avoid buying specific models that are know to be a dead android walking.
I was considering buying Nokia 2 for financial reasons but i turned around and bought an unused open box LG G2 D802 "16 GB" for EGP 2100 instead of getting the Nokia 2 for EGP 1400 and so far i'm more than content... I would have been happier if i got the "32 GB" variant but alas i could not find one in an unused condition
For those who are on a budget and still looking for a quality android phone that will last them for a good while i suggest an unused/used
get LG Optimus G "if frequent charging is not a problem"
get LG G2/LG G2 mini "do not opt in for the Lollipop upgrade and stay at KitKat"
Tip: Avoid purchasing any LG android phone post LG G2 era
get Samsung Galaxy S4/S5 "make sure that they are not knockoffs"
And if stock android is your thing and you can afford to pay more go for moto E4 Plus or moto G5s "their prices should go down a bit after the new gen releases"
P.S: I've got nothing against Nokia, in fact i've been using a Nokia 1280 for 7 years already
Very slow operating system i am very disappointed very bed phone I suggest not purchase any Nokia Android phone.
this phone doesn't take good pictures during the day instead pics comes out with colours ...thanks you.
Anonymous, 03 May 2018Your comment is so useless and does not have anything to do with how Nokia 2 that has very low... moreThe LG phone that i was referring to is a low end 2013/14 LG E455 "Optimus L5 II" and the Samsung TV and Samsung PC Display are older 2012 TV and an even older PC display and all of them by the way are still in a fully working condition till date after heavy full time use

You can keep your non-4K display Samsung TV and LG phone that can play 4K videos because they're out of Nokia 2's humble league. Even an iPhone 6s with 720p-ish screen can shoot/play 4K videos so your explanation is so low as Nokia 2 has low specs.
I'm using Nokia 2 and smooth operation system and bright camera, nice picture.
their already launch this phone 2 months half ago, but stupid seller in malaysiq sell in higher price!!! rm499 now same price with nokia 3. nokia malaysiq are stupid.

I used it for a month the charging system failed, 2 months down the line no spare available in our country or online. It's as good as when it's when, for repairs too frustrating.
