seems like a good phone, not many features, 7-8 days battery ife, but after few weeks of using the wake up alarm clock doesn't make a sound.

The latest version of this phone still has the software bug regarding the Sent Items where some messages remain in "pending" status even when they were in fact already sent. Once your Sent Items folder becomes filled with these "pending" items, you have no choice but to MANUALLY delete them one by one or you wouldn't be able to send any more text messages--a bug which has been around for over a year since firmware version 5.00 of the Nokia 1600 and was ported to the newer 1xxx series including this model. In spite of all the customer complaints, Nokia never fixed it.
this phone is incredible it has served me well for about a year now, my friends look at the basic uncomplicated nature of this phone adn mock me but I always have the last laugh as their n95's, se k850's and lg viewty's get sent back about 5 times a year for repair or replacement while mine soldiers one. I do not want a camera as I have a digital one, mp3 player? i don't think so my bus journeys are spent philosophising about my boring monotenous life and if i get bored i can always wack on radio 4 and the genius of terry wogan! It even lasts about 4 days without charge....I would recommend this phone to everyone who has destroyed their credit rating and lives a life of abject poverty like me....thank jesus, god and nokia for this technological masterpiece! peace out!

My friend gave me this phone to use when I travel to Europe but I cannot figure out what the phone number is and I need to know the phone number in order to use it. Can anyone help me?
I've been using this phone for 1year so here are may comments:
I recharge once a week when I talk 30-60min.
I really like it because it's simple, stylish , easy to use.
The only bad thing about is that I thought it would have the 2 wonderful ringtones that 1112, 1110 have that sound like mp3. It doesn't :( I bought it from Romania.
Keyboard is a bit hard to use at first because the middle row of keys is higher than the rest..it has a strange shape (but it's normal in this days...nothing is wierd no more)
Overall I'm pleased and I recomand it !
I presently have a Nokia 2100 which needs to be recharged every 48 hours even when little used. I have a digital camera and a laptop so need only a basic no-frills mobile phone. I live in Viet Nam. Other basic Nokia phones (eg 1600 and 1650) attract criticism for low volume ringtones and poor keypad design. I'd appreciate some comment from users about the keypad use, ring volume and battery life of the 2310. Thanks.
a great phone for anyone who doesn't want all the hassle and bassle of some 'unnecceseary' features of some other phones. Only $59 in Aus. so not terrible if you lose or break it!
Great phone, shame that they dont make more of them.
i like this phone.simple yet elegant.and i only bought this for P425.00.hehehe
A very inexpensive phone that is useful to have. Not sure yet how to read my voice male.
its user friendly. Its cool. but i had a problem recently w/ my 2310. I have 3 options under enhancement settings,1.headset 2.loopset &3.handsfree And now i had a big problem, headset was deleted in the options after my sister had played with it. I cannot use the radio anymore, i have asked few friends who is using other nokia phones and i have even read the manual but i havent found the answer on how can i have the headset option back so i can use the radio again.. Can someone out there help me please? Please send me an email..email@example.com. Your help will be very much appreciated. God bless you guys..
great phone and great battery life.. good for sms and for long calls.. use this one as your second phone.. great..
It seems it takes a quick '**' to get '+' in Add Contact on the 2310. '00' gives just that, two zeroes, but thanks, you've saved me a lot of hassle.
I haven't got this phone, but I know to enter a '+' on any phone you press 0 twice quickly!
It has been suggested here that, if I enter contact numbers beginning with +44, rather than 0, then I should see the contact name, and not just the number, when I view an incoming text. How do I input a '+' sign when adding a contact on the 2310, please?
